BECKFORD...Everton and West Ham sniffing...all the best...not for me.

N'ZONZI AND ARSENAL?...surely not...he's done well, but...

MGP...I think everyone is fed up waiting.

OK but if not N'zonzi then maybe Andrews :lol:

Isn't it the case that they can do the deal now but new contracts don't start till the official start of the transfer window June 1st or was that not what we established last year? I could be remembering it all wrong.

Yeah they can, sorry I meant it's not even the start of the window yet, the seasons just finished and people are getting restless that we haven't signed anyone.

I'm sure this will receive a massive backlash, but this is quickly becoming a theme of the Allardyce regime. We seem to get to every transfer window and not have a clue who we are interested in.

Come on Eddie, love don't hate.

It's a tough market out there, especially for a club of our size. It's still very much early days right now. I'd extend some patience before you start sniping.

We have had the same problem for quite a few years now even prior to Sam.. every summer we get as far as talking to players and doing medicals etc.. just to fail at the final hurdle *shrug*.. then of course we suddenly come up with an unexpected signing.

Boyd would probably be a better Bosman than Beckford to be fair. I know he's been heavily linked to Brum but he could be an option.

I'd much rather go for the younger option and look at Hooper at Scunthorpe. Great goal record and only a young lad.

Why should we have a clue? The more secrecy about our targets the better.

If it was blatantly obvious who our targets were I'm sure you'd be the first to complain that Allardyce was giving selling clubs the upper hand in negotiations by not keeping things secret.

Nicko, surely with the amount of time we have we should not have found ourselves struggling to land players. Im of the opinion, that Sam will surprise all with a striker. I still think Zigic will be linked again, but my fear is that if desperation sets in, then Beattie and Benjani might be at Rovers soon

I had a discussion yesterday with a Leeds ST holder with regards to Beckford. He said Leeds will be well rid of him once he's snapped up. According to him Beckford is not a team player and is rumoured to cause problems in the dressing room. Beckford started one of Leeds last five games of the season and started the other 4 on the bench supposedly because he hadn't been pulling his weight for the second half of the season. My personal opinion would be to stay well clear of players like Beckford.

Beckford is supposedly lined up for Everton and has been for the last few months. Leeds fans are not impressed with him generally especially in the second half of the seasaon and when the local TV reporter tried to interview him on the pitch along with the other Leeds players the day they got promotion my daughter said he was the only player who came across as thinking he was too good to be talking to the local press

I'ts not your decision to make though, is it, that is just your opinion - which of course you are entitled to - but Morten remains a Rovers player so how about getting behind him and supporting him.

Next time John Williams moans in the paper about wages dominating our budget far too much i will laugh at him. Clearly he will be talking a load ###### as he has just given this joker a new 4 year deal.

Don't forget promising Keith Andrews a new contract. I don't think JW has much position to lament our wage structure with this kind of negotiation.
