steverovers Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 No need to be rude either. when I took my exams they were hard and only the top few got to go to Uni. No mickey mouse degrees in those days. I know you know it's a rumour. You're still over reacting to it and therefore treating it as though you think it's probably fact. I just can't believe the way people have taken the club's decision on this issue. If they thought it was too much to pay him, then they wouldn't have done it. they will have done the sums with the real figures and not with the ones we or journalists are conjuring up, so presumablyu they eckon that if we get no more than what we are currently getting out of him, it's value for maoney.

bonger 26 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Fat Nolan...? No chance... think hes a decent player fits the blackburn mould. pops up with a goal or to and seems to put in the effort when the chips are down. whats not to like? 27 so he still hass 5 or so good years infront of him. english and works well with sam
bennyboyt11 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Aiming for a top ten finish next season, we should be looking to bring in better than Nolan. Lazy journalism I would imagine, always links past players.
bats Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Not really heard of this guy before, is it a reputable site?: Rovers Linked with the "next Eto"
braddock Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Not really heard of this guy before, is it a reputable site?: Rovers Linked with the "next Eto" He has the scoring ability of Samuel Eto’, the speed of Lionel Messi and the creativity of Xavi.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 "Probably fact"? Do you teach oxymorons in your class? Just because the club think its OK to pay him this much (alleegedly) doesnt mean that we should agree with them. They are not beyond reproach, and it is dangerous to act as though they are. No doubt at some point during the Summer we'll get the usual pleading poverty stories in the press - if this new contract is as is being reported (or anywhere close) then the club have lost all right to complain. Put it this way - if MGP had come through the academy at Rovers he would never have earned more than £15k pw and would probably have been sold to a Championship club years ago. Anything anywhere near £55k for him is ludicrous. I'm with you on this one, it's a crazy decision. Maybe John Williams has won the Euro-lottery mega dosh. Either that or Ped's his long lost love child.
The Rover of Finland Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Never heard this African lad before but his coach is trying to sell him to Europe funny way. 24-year old Eto'o/Messi/Xavi from Congo would have been scouted ten years ago. For us he could sell something like this: Scoring ability like Roberts, speed of EHD and creativity like Andrews. Perfect player!

Bobby G Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Guti is linked with Zenit and Galatasaray. I doubt we could trump Champions League football on offer.
Kelbo Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Guti is linked with Zenit and Galatasaray. I doubt we could trump Champions League football on offer. Salgado thinks we can, the lifestyle is more private here in Lancs, great training facilities, prem football and his mate Salgado here as well!!

JMillZz Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 If they've paid that waste of space £55k a week they can say goodbye to my season ticket money. Christ. If we've ever made a worse business decision than that then I'm a Burnley fan. Here we go... an excuse not to buy a season ticket. HIS WAGES ARE SPECULATED AT £50K ASSUMING THE FIGURES GIVEN AND CONVERTED ARE CORRECT. The chances are the figure is less than this amount especially with bonuses taken away! Stop crying like babies over his wages and support your team! People like you infuriate me as you are totally negative and, to be frank, not true fans. Get a grip.
