Iceman Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 What a waste of time reading the last 2 pages. Agree, there is really only 10 pages of transfer talk anyway, I wonder if we get Guti in, and 2 strikers if that will be it. I get the feeling, that we will end up with only 1 striker and will be a panic buy. I like the idea now, of either Janko or Zigic.

John Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Stoke want £2m for James Beattie as Blackburn and West Bromwich Albion chase striker
nicko Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 11 o'clocker slightly early...still in a state of shock after Ashes to Ashes...it's all too much. BENJANI...is right back on the list...hard to take in, but with growing support within at all levels...probably because... PIQUIONNE...wants too much dough...Fulham may still take him, but his wages are a tad high...which brings us back to... DINDANE...whose agent is trying to see if anyone in the Premier League still wants him after the Qatar thing went a bit strange... BEATTIE...Barnsley want him on loan...love to see his ego get through the Oakwell dressing room door. Thanks again for voting for the bag. It seems some of these Hispanic types have big families. So feel free to vote again.
brian_gallagher85 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Cheers Nicko but April 1st was over a month ago :s
Iceman Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Wtf man, I knew it! Beattie and Benjani, is more a case of desperation than anything else. Crazy, and shows a lack of ambition when you consider we are after Guti as well.
bonerdude Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 still in shock bout ashes to ashes myself nicko....lol
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Although i've said on numerous occasions that Dindane really isn't as good as people think he is, I think he's the best of an average/bad bunch. I really hope we get a creative central midfielder in ahead of another average striker.
JAL Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 If thats the best Rovers can do regarding strikers on this page, then it has to be another sack the board, sack the manager moment for such is the dross they chase to play up front for Blackburn Rovers FC. Not impressed ....must do better Rovers!

ewoodpo Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I really hope these two don't end up at Rovers. Sam did say he wanted experianced strikers therefore , these two probably will be on the his list. Sam see some sense and don't sign either one of these two . It reminds me of when we had the likes of Ashley Ward at the club.

The bad news is that Ashley Ward is actually our next target should Benjani fall through.

So feel free to vote again. i take it man city would still pay 99% of his wages............that is the only way that news would sit well with me sooner play samba upfront that waste money on any of that shower......is this bleeding karma getting back at us for binning benni off on some one then we have to take someone elses rubbish off them. thought we were doing our business before world cup so players we are after are'nt tied up for a month bar dindane the others have as much chance of playing on the biggest stage as ince has of being england manager.
beerwins Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Beattie or Bnajani no thanks. Our scouts are fricking useless with a world cup coming up I hope to god the majority of them get sacked. Over the last year Salgado has been the only player worth signing and now we are stuck with some real buckets of @#/? on the payroll.
nicko Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 still in shock bout ashes to ashes myself nicko....lol Brilliant way to end it...probably the best last episode since When The Boat Comes In. If you remember that you are some stuff.
Backroom Tom Posted May 21, 2010 Backroom Posted May 21, 2010 I've wanted dindane from the offset now I really hope he comes
Hughesy Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Benjani....Piquionne....Beattie.....I would rather have Dindane over any of those 3.
nicko Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Nicko, Any truth in the Marc Janko rumours? Ta I have not heard that name lately...but you never know. Got to stress that Guti is still THE priority. Don't stress over-much just yet.
slough_rover Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Sunderland supposedly to offer 4 million for Tuncay. Is definately good enough to unlock most defences.
USABlue Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 still in shock bout ashes to ashes myself nicko....lol OK clue me in. WHat exactly is the Ashes to Ashes thing?
Brfcrule1 Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I thought things couldn't get any worse but boy can they we offload Jason couldn't hit a cows a*** with a banjo then we sign Benjani couldn't hit a cows a*** with a banjo. What's the point of replacing crap with even worse. I would be happy for Roberts to stay instead of that steaming pile of horse manure. I would have even preferred DiSanto to that guy. Beattie I can understand but get the feeling 2m would be better invested in better. I think that Dindane would be the best of that lot but now depends what is going on there with too many agents meddling could drag on. With Dindane with so many people sticking their nose in is he owned by a 3rd party illegal for prem lge clubs to deal. Surely though players like Boselli,Bance Dindane's bro in law,Janko I would have thought would have been higher up the list than the likes of Pokemon,Benjani & beattie surely these 3 would have to be last resort after we have tried to acquire better strikers but failed. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Manchester-City-misfit-Benjani-wanted-by-Blackburn-as-deals-for-Robert-Lewandowski-Aruna-Dindane-and-Frederic-Piquionne-collapse-article433469.html Nicko please tell me you are having a laugh with the above link Lens now want 3.5M for dindane. They are taking the proverbial p*** if that is true how they have the nerve to put it up by so much is beyond me! & not worth it. But then anything would be better than seeing Benjani's face in a blue & white shirt.
bluebruce Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Beattie or Bnajani no thanks. Our scouts are fricking useless with a world cup coming up I hope to god the majority of them get sacked. Over the last year Salgado has been the only player worth signing and now we are stuck with some real buckets of @#/? on the payroll. I think that's actually one of the stupidest things I've ever read here.
Roberto Policano Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Surely if you wanted someone from City Valeri Bojinov would be the best bet. He was an excellent player before his cruciate ligament rupture,he's young enough at 24 to return to top form. He's had a decent season on loan at Parma. He just needs games now to return to top form.
47er Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 OK clue me in. WHat exactly is the Ashes to Ashes thing? follow-up to Life on Mars--the British version that is.
Presty On Tour Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Gene Hunt will be back as they have left the door open with the ending. It was EMOTIONAL!!!!
