Dont u guys follow european football at all?

To compare Lukaku with a random young player that is being brought into the reserve team is just pathetic.

Lukaku is already incredible strong, big, and good to head the ball, and hold up play.. He would walk straight into our starting XI if he came here.

Problem is, and I dont know why we even are discussing this. Lukaku would never come to Rovers, and Rovers would not have the money to buy him.

Of course we do, We all watch the Belgian league every week. :glare:

No one is really saying we should go for him, He is obviously a talent and may well be a world beater but it

all smells a bit Freddy Adu'ish to me! You can expect too much from a young lad sometimes.

Sometimes people have to realise people do other things in life other than watch football and go on BRFCS.

Nicko.

I heared that John Carew is available for sale, and some english clubs are interested.. Are we one of those?

He is the ideal player for "Sam's style" of play, I guess there'd be a whole host of clubs after him but he would be a decent choice.

Possible Targets: Dindane, Zigic, Benjani,Piquionne,Beattie,Carew,Lewandowski?

The list is shortening by the day!

Glad he didnt come to Rovers as hes obviously more concerned about a good pay packet than the level of football. Lekhwiya have also signed Bakary Kone from Marseille.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8705105.stm

Lekhwiya were bought out by a rich Sheikh last month,he changed the name to Lekwiya from Al-Shorta Doha.

He obviously wants to make a good start during his first season in charge.Bakari Kone is a great little player.

The Qatari League is quite a high standard.Plenty of Brazilians playing there. It's probably the same standard as the Championship in England. If not slightly stronger.

This is the boy we need, Sam, get on the phone...

Lukaku

Anderlecht are asking for £16 million.

If not him, then how about dos Santos?

Id prefer Vela...far better finisher too!

AJW - Unless Basturk has been truly amazing in training then I cant see it considering he never made an appearance and just proved to be abit of a sick-note.

What happened to him already having signed for Panathinaikos, by the way? ;)

I'm forgetting - didn't Ten Cate take over as manager a couple of seasons back - roughly the time we signed Ince? (Didn't work out that great for him there, either, but I guess he's found his level in Dubai.) ;)

If thats to me.Only Alan Nixon can answer that.

You must have paid him 200k in wages by now,and he's only played 1 half of football so far.

So surely you will release him.

I believe Basturk was on a pay-as-you-play deal from his parent club, so we only paid them when he played. It seems unlikely, therefore, that we would have paid anywhere near that amount for him. Probably nearer to £20,000 than £200,000!

I really hope we don't go in for Kris Boyd. He seems to me to be a big fat useless lump with a bad attitude. He has scored loads of goals in the SPL but has also often been left out of what is generally regarded as being just about the worst ever Rangers teams. He is also known to be a moaner and a bad influence so I would rather give him a wide berth, a very wide 1 in fact with his girth.

Fair enough sir,as long as the source is creditable, and not from someone's blog or dodgy website.

Talking to a Rangers fan I know, he seems to think that Boyd will stay at Rangers now Walter Smith has agreed to sign on for another season.

to be fair mate, no i don`t, not really. though i do think it would be unlikely that a 16 year old from belgian football would walk into our team, no matter how highly rated he were at that level. the premier league in my opinion is a massive step up from where he`s currently playing.
