**OFF TOPIC** But it was good to see on SSN Rovers are one of only 5 teams in the Premiership making a profit! Only 5

Does anyone have a clue what ever happened to Ibricic? He sounded like a real possibility in January.

Still there and bagging plenty 17 in 29 games being linked to Rubin Kazan.(if wiki is correct)

He did sound promising though, lack of dosh will no doubt stop him being a target this summer.

:angry2: Will people stop asking if there's going to be an 11 o'clocker FFS! If Nicko wants to post an update he will, no need to clog the whole thread up!

Second time in a row for that poster, too! Nickoteens are back for the summer.

A striker like Kris Boyd can only operate and thrive with a supply line. Rovers dont have that at the moment so its a no brainer for me.

He is slow and cumbersome at times but there is no doubt he can score goals when in the right mood.

I dont see what he can bring to Rovers first 11 nor do I see what he could do as a back up striker. He is no better than what we have already.

Liverpool have also been linked with Boyd,he can't be that bad now can he. Kris Boyd would come on a free no transfer fee involved, even if it didn't work out we could sell him on for a fee.

The only reservation I have about him is that I hope he doesn't feel home sick like the last player that we signed from Rangers, He thought that it would be better playing 4 competitive games a season, rather than playing in the best league in the world.

Most Celtic fans think he shyte also so that says alot for me, slow and cumbersome isnt somebody Rovers can afford to carry in the team.

Liverpool and Boyd ? Dont make me laugh.

I think even the fat spanish waiter wouldnt do that to the club. They have money and players that would bring massive money if sold. Are you seriously telling me he is as good as what they are letting go ?

Boyde is Championship at the very best. He scores goals in a poor league and if you wath scottish football you will know that he does not get involved in play as much as he should. If you thougtht fatboy mccarthy sulked then watch this lad, his face is like a smacked ar£e permanently.

Boyd's strengths are Premierleague level, but like a lot of good Championship players, having one or two sides to your game at that standard isn't good enough anymore.

If he came here and started most games, he would score goals, but would contribute so little else that it wouldn't be worth the hastle. He's even been left out of the Rangers team on that basis, so what chance would he have in our team away at Old Trafford.

The fact Walter Smith left Boyd out for so many big matches says it all.

I am not completely against signing Boyd but have huge doubts over his work rate - considering how many goals he has scored, there seems to be a split amongst Rangers fans about his worth to the team which sums it up.

We do need a left back. Givet isn't a left back and Olsson appears to have been moved to the midfield, so it is a gap that we have. Givet can fill in, but he's naturally central defender and a much better one as well.

There has been speculation that Ledley was heading to Everton for the entire season....and Beckford since about January - so neither would suprise me to be honest.

If Bellamy joins Cardiff then he will almost single handedly destroy that league & Cardiff should win the league!

If he's fit, mind you.

I too have serious concerns about Boyd's ability to make it in the Premier League, but on a free transfer with some space in the wage department (that's if Morten hasn't taken it all...) I really don't see how we have anything to loose. If he flops, we could certainly get rid of him to the SPL or Championship for 1-2 mill £ and minimize our losses.

Now, if I get to advocate a signing it would be Aristide Bancé of Mainz in the German Bundesliga. Big powerhouse of a forward who also has pace, scores a respectable amount of goals and is at a good age (25).

I think Boyd could do a job for us , i know he is lazy and doesn't do enough outside the box , but look at kevin davies , the fat workshy bloater who played for us was nothing like the kevin davies who Sam re-invented at Bolton
