Here's how I see it: Sign Boyd & D'Alessandro on free-transfers, significantly boosting our attacking options. Then invest the rest of the budget into a main targetman, and if there's anything left spend it on a left-back.

Too much talk of forwards and defenders...We need to replace Andrews

Andrews won't be going anywhere.

Agreed, he can cover so many positions with his finger pointing.

We could lose at least two other players from the squad and not notice their gone (apart from the wages) Keef is another matter. ;)

We do need a left back. Givet isn't a left back and Olsson appears to have been moved to the midfield, so it is a gap that we have. Givet can fill in, but he's naturally central defender and a much better one as well.

Maybe, but when we have Samba, Nelsen, and Jones at CB and while Givet continues to do a decent job at LB, that position should not be considered a priority.

I'd much rather see us bring in a midfielder and a striker before we look for a LB.

Why not, Sam has, his form second half of the season was poor at best, as for him playing left back, I think that is the problem he is so uncomfortable there it causes himself and the rest of the team so many problems.

IMO he is second choice RB, he offers more than Jacobsen going forward but not much more defensively and shades him on pace, one of them needs moving on.

Quite right! Nobody would have him on his wages.

I was being sarcastic, I don't rate him at all.

And you know what his wages are how?

1st half of Norway vs Montenegro finished.

Morten Gamst Pedersen has been quite good, but a little bit anonymous. Good free-kicks and corners.

Simon Vukcevic looks pacy and skilled. Had a good goalscoring chance , but tried to lob it and Brede Hangeland saved it before it went in. Looks like he would be a good addition to the Rovers squad.

Vukcevic was linked with us and Bolton about 2-3 years ago when he was worth about 5 million. He is now available on a free transfer I believe. Im not sure it was Sam who wanted him at Bolton or the next man in charge, but he is a worthwhile investment for sure.

Of course he wants his drinking and pie munching mate back. Another reason to avoid.

For crying out loud give the guy a break, as long as he remains with the club back him. He might not be the most talented However , he does put a shift in.

LEAVE THE GUY ALONE !!!!!!

Why? He's a total liability on a weekly basis. If we sell Andrews to anyone for anything more than 50p then its all back to mine for a celebration cos he's the biggest liability I've ever known in 20 years of supporting the Rovers. Getting rid of that useless lump would be the best thing to happen in this transfer window bar none. But life doesnt go like that for some reason...

Ok then, so your a better judge of a player than Sam ? Hang on leave Sam out of it Trappattoni who has managed some of the best teams in the world.

Like I said earlier whilst he's playing in a blue and White shirt support him.

You do realise that footballers are only human, when their own supporters are slagging them off during a game it really knocks their confidence.

A lot of you were calling him even before he signed for us .And your 50p keep it I'm sure Roy again another decent manager wanted to good money for him last season.

Fair point , it's just that we don't have a lot of incomings to talk about right now.
