Iceman Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Thanks for the update Kamy. Good news that, and if Sam can bring in a striker as well, then thats good business imo.
alexanders Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Grella sale backed up by another source A worrying comment in the article: The move could be completed by the end of the week, though Gala officials may want to make sure that Grella comes through the World Cup unscathed before signing off on the two-year contract.
The Rover of Finland Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Grella sale backed up by another source A worrying comment in the article: The move could be completed by the end of the week, though Gala officials may want to make sure that Grella comes through the World Cup unscathed before signing off on the two-year contract. Very good news. Fingers crossed that this the week he doesn´t hurt himself. Seriously, great deal for us if happends. Certainly he hasn´t been able to show his best because of several minor injuries. But he isn´t even close £4M player and it was a bad buy by Ince. Let´s just hope this one will happend.

Wooooooo Hoooooooo! Yeah baby! This is right up there with Kuqi if true.
67splitscreen Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 A migraine for 10 days or so would not go amiss.
andyroversmad Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Grella - £25,000 benni mc'donalds - £35,000 Reid - £20,000 zurab -£15,000 brown - £10,000 chimbonda - £20,000 Every article I read about Guti says we will have problems with his wages. Those wages are just a complete guesses but with that lot gone surely we can afford to pay Guti.
budha Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 If our wage bill is £5M/yr (+ Salgado?) over the budget, the loss of those salaries would bring us to more or less +-0. Not to mention the effect on the other players (and their wage demands) if we sign someone with double the wages than anyone else. Just a guess
67splitscreen Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 After all this time JW will know as near as dam it what Guti will cost, no doubt Salgado got the low down. If we are not able to meet them, subject to a bit of negotiation, surely we would have dropped the interest weeks ago.

Conservative guesses too I think, I reckon only Brown and possibly Zurab will be on around those amounts, I think the rest will be/were on more.
nicko Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 In case you missed it yeysterday, Jose on Guti...got to love the guy... "I like Guti because he has talent, but if a player said a month ago that he had played his last game for Real, he cannot come a month later and say that he wants to stay. "I like players that are committed to the club, the project, his team-mates and the coach and I don't like this doubt."

Just a guess Did not Warnocks transfer fee and wages cover the salgado deal ?
Backroom Tom Posted June 1, 2010 Backroom Posted June 1, 2010 Grella - £25,000 benni mc'donalds - £35,000 Reid - £20,000 zurab -£15,000 brown - £10,000 chimbonda - £20,000 Every article I read about Guti says we will have problems with his wages. budha Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Did not Warnocks transfer fee and wages cover the salgado deal ? No idea. We'll have to wait for Hughesy to confirm. Except 3 of those are still rovers players and could well still be come September Grella, Zurab, Brown and Chimbonda. That's 4?
Balwer Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Except 3 of those are still rovers players and could well still be come September Isn't Zurab also still a Rover? I make the count 4.
Backroom Tom Posted June 1, 2010 Backroom Posted June 1, 2010 Sorry chaps you are or course right I thought he was out of contract for some reason. Also don't forget phil jones and pedersens new contracts will take up some of the cash from departing players. Not to mention other contracts renewed in the last season.
Steve Moss Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 Take it for what it's worth, but Sam allegedly wants Bullard. http://www.fansfc.com/BlackburnRovers/story/21509/4.html Personally, I think its BS.
HemelRover Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Personally, I think its BS. I really hope so. A very commited and likeable player but sadly lacking in skill and fitness.
Backroom Tom Posted June 1, 2010 Backroom Posted June 1, 2010 I imagine both reports are rubbish but pretending they were true yes please to the pole but no never in a million years to the overpaid bullard

LeChuck Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Ledley to hold talks with Roma. Looks like we've missed the boat on that one. Cracking player, not surprised the likes of Roma are looking at him.
Ricky Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 He's also been up to Celtic for talks. Cardiff will be gutted if he goes to either as they won't get a penny. If he goes to the prem there would be a tribunal to set the fee.
nicko Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Joe Ledley in Glasgow and Rome???? I could have sworn he was still in Charlie Adam's back pocket...
