The ones I know don't like him. I remember when we played them at Ewood - you could here the groans from the Bolton fans everytime he did something. (I sit in JW Upper towards the Darwen End). There were a shouts of get him off during the first half.

Must say the Bolton fans I know don't like him either.

It sounds like he suffers from the same 'Match of the Day player' syndrome that made people think Pedersen was a great player; every so often he'll score a belter, but everything else he does is fairly rubbish.

I always liked the look of him but to be fair I haven't seen that much of him other than when he's played against us.

I've just asked a colleague of mine who is a season ticket holder at Horwich what he thinks, "inconsistent and a liability, I'd rather have Dioufy back" were his exact words. He may be a numpty but as far as I'm concerned he's welcome to Diouf, but by the sounds of it he can also keep Taylor.

I know a few people will get their backs up on this one and a certain Rovers legend wouldn't be too impressed but I think Stephan Hunt would be a good signing from Hull when they have their fire sale.

i wonder if Jermain Pennant's name, gets linked with us again. Still think he can offer something, going forward, but his head seems a bit messed up(excuse the pun) as his hair is normally messed up :wstu::D:lol:

With what Big Sam has said today, that signing a striker in the summer is his main target. just be think who we might sign. could it be a bosman signing or proven goalscorer in a foriegn country. cant see us signing a premeirship striker because of the cost involved unless a cheap target.

Possible signing are Aruna Dindane, Robert Lewandowski, James Beattie, Cacau, kris Boyd.

Boyd and Cacau are out of contract at the end of the season. I would go for Cacau. He's a finisher, got pace and is 28 years old. Think Boyd will go to Birmangham City. Then go for Lewandowski, sign for about 4 million pounds.

Also we need a goalscorer midfield player and defensive midfield player. Let Grella and Reid go. I would go for Karl Henry of Wolves. A good defensive midfield and a leader. Then go for Michael Bradley of Borussia Mönchengladbach has a goalscorer midfield. Was link with us a couple of years ago when Mark Hughes. Been good to see what he like in the world cup for USA.

Cacau is a big fish and probably goes to a bigger club. Beattie is an aging Championship star with huge wages. Sure he is Blackburn based but no thanks. Not sure is Dindane so good either but according Nicko, he may be on his way to Ewood. Lewandowski, yes please but as a third choice at first. Mr X. and Niko first two choices. I liked Caicedo at City. He hasn´t done too well on loan, has he?

I suspect that at least one of the summer signings will be in the Nzonzi mould i.e. almost unheard of. We don't and won't have the cash to spare to go for players suggested on here, partly because when you look at the cost you are not seeing the whole picture. Most, even fairly poor, Premiership players are on biggish wages and won't move for less, unless they are the exceptions who really do just want to play and if they do then someone else will probably snap them up on a thousand a week more than we are willing to pay. Realistically I can't see much changing next season, except we'll have to find some kind of Pedersen replacement if he doesn't re-sign and we'll get no cash in to do so. I'm not complaining and I do know this is the time of the season to be dreaming rather than facing reality but don't get your hopes too high lads and lasses. I think we'll seee a quiet summer.

If we are looking for a Bosman player, who can score goals, look no further than Serbian goal machine, Marko Pantellic. He's out of contract with Ajax in the summer and doesn't look like he will stay. This guy is lethal, wouldn't cost anything and I we could easily pay him. Sam has said on a number of occasions that we lack a striker who can put away the chances that we create. I'd be delighted if we got him.

Guest roverspogges

I've heard about this young lad at barca called Messi, also a portugese lad in Spain called Ronaldo but I think the transfer fee and wages may be a stumbling block.

Cacau & Ledwanski and id be delighted....it would push us on a level.

Add a creative midfielder or a 'boss' in the middle and it will be dream world!

Isn't Sam talking about signing A new striker? That suggest only one out, presumably Di Santo and retaining Roberts. 3 would be enough if we are only starting one up-front.

I'd sell Roberts, while we still can.

Kalinic, [new striker], Hoilett.

* Diouf (back-up)

Looks pretty slim, but there's plenty of room to sign another striker in the bargain basement/bosman/loan etc.
