Bit harsh Maj, writing off Buzsaky and Ledley. ive been able to watch quite a bit of Championship games, and i was watching Buzsaky and he looks like he knows what he is doing. His movement off the ball, and his passing looks much better than a some EPL players. Ledley, i know he has been sidelined after surgery, but another good cheap option, who is also a versatile player. They are good cheap options, and leaves us with money to splash on a top striker

I've seen Buzsaky more than anyone on here up close, he's good then bad too inconsistent. Ledley well he's not free, tribunal will decide that one and I doubt he'll be that cheap. He looks good in the championship but he's hardly stand out. He can play and gets around, but we need a player with good passing range and good vision, his isn't good enough for what we need.

We don't need more mediocre players we need quality and I'm sorry for me they are just that mediocre.

Just read this:

It is reported that Lech Poznan striker Robert Lewandowski is preferring a move to Serie A over the Premier League.

Both Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City were linked with the Poland international.

It was believed that Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has made a personal check on the 21-year-old.

Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza claims the Ewood Park chief was in the country earlier in the year to check on the Poland international.

However, La Republica says the highly-regarded winger will join Genoa at the end of the season.

left hand doesn't know what the right is doing at the LT it seems.

I thought Franco was a clever signing and an exciting prospect. Compared to some of the tripe that was being suggested - Amir Zaki springs to mind - it looked like a very good bit of business. Given the club's lack of cash he has given good value as a 'wages only' capture.

There is no doubt the kid fluffed some chances but his overall play was very promising. The £6 million [or so] Kalinic has found the same problem, chasing balls and leading the line is hard in this system.

Di Santo will be a Premier League player for years to come if he finds the right home. He is still young and has a lot of growing and improving in him.

He is certainly a hard worker - skillful at times. I wonder though if the striker role is his right position. But until he is in a side that gives it's forwards decent service and with two up front. It will be hard to give a decent assesment imo. the potential is there I agree.

I'm with you there Nicko, it seems all to easy to dismiss the lad when hes been surrounded by your Keith Andrews and Vince Grellas of the footballing world.

Would have thought Di Santo bought cheaply and developed to add to value would be a good investment for a club like ours especially when you see a distinct lack of immediate quality in our junior striker department.

Guest roverspogges

I remember Taarabt was apparently head and shoulders above anyone else in the championship earlier in the season according to some reports. Not sure how he's doing now though.

My Spurs mate used to rave about him - full of skill. I think he is still a bit raw but could be a player eventually.

I wonder if he'd worth a shot? Spurs are willing to sell, but wanted £4.5m last I heard.

For that much I'd rather have Jamie O'Hara who's proved himself in the Premier League to be a very good player. He's been head and shoulders above the rest of the players at Fratton this season. It's actually got to the point where I get annoyed with reading about him all the time in the local papers :D

I'm sorry for being stupid, but what am I forgetting?

Someone asked why Nicko posted his updates (11 o’clockers ) so late( post 1271 ). Hughsey mentioned the Villa fans that come on the m/b post 1275. As you come on & post & ask questions, & one of the better visiting fans not to forget you. Good luck in Europe, hope this makes sense.

Don't really understand why these two have been lumped together?

Andrews can't play but gives 100%, whereas Grella is the one midfield player we have who can service the strikers with his passing. His problem (obviously) is injuries and the amount of games he misses. However, in the context of Di Santo, Grella isn't his problem - the system is.

DINDANE...Avram Grant wants Lens to let him play for Portsmouth for the rest of the season...he thinks that would put him in the shop window and 'get a bigger price'...which seems to have struck a chord because Lens may let Dindane play again for Pompey...the clubs are talking about how many games this could be for...Lens say one [the FA Cup final], Portsmouth say the lot...

The bottom line for Rovers is that they have obviously NOT agreed a fee and Lens are looking for more than has been discussed or offered.

This one is going to drag.

PAUL INCE...will get the bump at MK Dons...possibly tonight, possibly in the morning...the official reason will be cost-cutting...

I hope we move on now. I don't think we will sign Dindane. Hope we got other targets we will look to sign now. Also i hope Big Sam will look to get targets sign before the world cup because the price will go up!!!
