Backroom Tom Posted April 16, 2010 Backroom Posted April 16, 2010 Does he have the one thing we have missed up front since bellamy, real pace?
DanLad Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Robert Lewandowski, eh? Looking at that Youtube footage the trouble I can see is that he was clearly playing in a ludicrously attacking team. There were times when there there were up to 3 team-mates in the attacking half. Who was he playing with, Brazil!?! Looks good on that footage. Could work well with Niko. Thanks for the info, Nicko!
John Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Poland striker Robert Lewandowski Right footed forward with an eye for goal, as proved by his current scoring record. Has pace, good stamina and work rate. He’s just as happy with a ball to feet or being played through and is pretty handy in the air.
AJW Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Shockeed to find there is electricity and a phone line in Yarkshire...so a wee bonus for you. The top target is Robert Lewandowski. I understand that an approach has now been made to find out if he will come. Borussia Dortmund seem to be the opposition. The price may be in the £5 - 6 million range but that is not too bad staggered over a few years. I think the plan is to see if Rovers can get this guy before anything else. If you get him at the right price then Dindane could also come in later. This one seems to be the priority now - and for the time being. I don't know much about the chap, but his profile and goals record looks good and he has been watched several times. And if the worst comes to the worst he could also be quite handy if there is a problem with the plumbing. This comes instead of the 12 o'clocker...enjoy. Mrs AJW says thank you .......back in 5mins
Iceman Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Mrs AJW says thank you .......back in 5mins Jeez, i dont think the mrs will be happy with 5 mins Lewandowski, yes please! 2 youngsters, with perhaps Dindane as well, sounds good to me. Get in a good midfielder, and we could be very solid next season.
S15 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 You gonna do her twice?? It takes twice that long to get it up once you've seen em' give birth.
Sparky Marky Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Good good player. I'd be very pleased to see him at Rovers.
T4E Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 It takes twice that long to get it up once you've seen em' give birth. I've been told that seeing your wife in labour is like watching your favourite pub burn to the ground.
J*B Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 ]He’s just as happy with a ball to feet or being played through and is pretty handy in the air. [/url] I'm 99% sure thats what Chicco said in his first radio rovers interview. I'm now slightly worried, play it safe, Kevin Davies.

I've been told that seeing your wife in labour is like watching your favourite pub burn to the ground. .........And somewhere in the heavens (or hell for that matter) Sam Kinison is smiling.
alexanders Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Lewandowski is an exciting prospect; Good goalscoring record , potential re-sale value and might fit nicely in with Niko on top. Maybe our fanbase in Poland will increase?
Driver99 Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 And if the worst comes to the worst he could also be quite handy if there is a problem with the plumbing.
American Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Give Burnley Rigters for Fletcher Im still hoping for Lewandowski and Vagner Love I've said it before and I'll say it again: Sign Vagner Love and give him shirt number 69 - the shirt sales will more than make up for whatever fee was spent on him.
John Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Can we afford Lewandowski? Also, if he is that good surely other clubs will be in for him too...
Hughesy Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Lewandowski has a gentleman agreement to leave in summer
Ewood and I Would Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 The top target is Robert Lewandowski. andyroversmad Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 He looks good on the youtube videos but has anyone acutally seen him play ?
Ewood and I Would Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 WOW, he's on the front of the Polish version of FIFA 10...he must be good
67splitscreen Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 The dreaded YouTube, "mad to make your mouth water" then turns sour when you try first hand. An ex scout on another board does say he is highly rated amongst is ex colleagues. He is checking with Dortmund to see how keen they are. Here's hoping we get him.
MarkBRFC71 Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Sounds like a good signing. But how are we going to accommodate two £6m, out-and-out strikers in the current formation?
benhben Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Still think we need a good centre mid as much as another forward. We could sign as many strikers as we like, but if the service doesn't improve they wont score much. Jamie Ohara would be my no1 target for summer, he may compensate for Grellas lack of passing ability
