Daft of the player though if he moves to Serie A to be a fourth-choice striker when he can move to the Premier League.

Just checked the Italian daily newspapers and the Genoese locals, nothing about Dortmund and the polish lad.

Big news in Italy today is that John Elkann wants Rafael Benitez at Juventus next season and will pull out all stops to get him.

I still cannot see it with the Real Madrid job surely about to be vacant, should Barcelona win the league.

Mourinho will go to Madrid. As for Raffa how has this failure managed to attract all this interest, he's an awful manager!

Huh? Surely you're not saying Real would want Benitez? They can do much better...

Keane is getting on, on very high wages, would cost alot and wouldnt want to come. A non-starter imo

He went to Celtic on loan - they dont pay big wages.....

Regardless of age - he scores goals - and thats what we need!

& Fife - he's only on loan isnt he? Therefore back to Spurs in the summer - and surely 'available'.

Rafa > Juve

Wenger > Madrid ??? Could happen!

Mourinho - hopefully will return to England - perhaps at City if Lippi leaves Italy after the World Cup, as Mancini might get the nod for that job!

yes but unlike Celtic we're not an Irish club.

The Celtic Football Club is a Scottish football club based in the Parkhead area of Glasgow, which currently plays in the Scottish Premier League

I do get what your saying though mate - That would be my only worry - so it would be down to him......MASSIVELY reduced wages at Celtic & mickey mouse footy, or decent wages & premier league footy with us!?

Massimo Moratti won't sack him,Mourinho would have to walk, which would be crazy if Inter do the treble.

Yep,Benitez to Madrid,if not Juve first.

Cesare Prandelli is favourite for the Italian national team job.

Just been speaking to a few poles here at work - They really rate this robert kid and said he has scored on nearly every debut he has ever made :)

From what they said hes fast, strong, good finisher (Both feet) however doesnt score enough with his head and is quite tall.

At 20 years old looks a talent and hopefully he can fulfil that with us.

Young partenrship wed have tho up top....

Id be shocked if they are....

Nicko any ideas on this one? Is it part covered by Spurs or something or do they have big cash going to his pockets??

Prepare to be shocked.

That's from Nicko himself. 65k a week plus loan fee combining to 105k a week.

So Celtic are not paying it..... :tu:

"Desmond put his hand in his pocket to pay the £1million loan fee and pick up the £65,000-a-week wages for Republic of Ireland star Keane in a deal first revealed by Football Spy by September 14"

I think we could still nick him if he becomes available.

Keith Andrews has nothing on Robbie Keane when it come to pointing, anyone who has watched him play even a handful of games for Ireland will tell you that.

He's also the laziest forward on the face of the planet (after Berbatov) and he would offer nothing to our forward line as he needs around 20 chances a game (which Spurs create) to get a goal.

He's also the wrong side of 30 now and after half a season in the SPL he will have lost any edge he had last season.

Apologies in advance but I'm assuming you actually live in Italy right? Not sure what your media is reporting but over in England we've had lots of interviews from Mourinho with the British press saying how he is hating Italy.

Again sorry if you're aware of this but the reports we get here suggest he's fallen out with the Italian press so I'm not sure what they are reporting (or not) in Italy.

Mourinho "fed up" with Italian Football

How Jose Mourinho Could Become Real Madrid's Special Savior

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/381968-how-jose-mourinho-could-become-real-madrids-special-savior

Again it is only my opinion, but I can't see Jose staying at Inter next season given the stuff he's come out with.

Between England and Italy.

The Italian journalists, other media and officials hate him because of his arrogant style, and he hates them back.

But he has no problem with Inter the club.

Spain is the same as Italy press wise,it would be out of the frying pan into the fire.

Mourinho's style and also it may be the perfect time to leave. There is only 1 way after you have won the treble and it isn't up.

If you read it and understood it, I'm not sure why you talked about a fee when the post you were quoting wasn't talking about a fee, but a freebie. Yes, deals come with signing on fees, agent fees etc. All deals. If we aren't going to do business on the basis of that though, we might as well give up as a club. Unless such fees are extortionate. If they are players who are proven at this level, that to my mind makes them better than Pedersen, who is decidedly dodgy at this level. As for unproven players, that's simply the line of business we are in. We can't just desperately cling to every crap player we have, and give them bumper pay rises constantly, or we won't get anywhere. Would you be so defensive of Jason Roberts if we wanted to sell him (for a fee, at that)? In an ideal, fit starting XI, I wouldn't even have Pedersen in it, and many fans wouldn't. Olsson is a better winger, Dunn is a better attacking mid. Pedersen is their backup, for when Dunn is injured (ie often, but we probably want a new player there anyway), and when Givet can't play left back so Olsson drops back.

Finally, I never said I know how to do this deal, I was simply pointing out you seemed to misinterpret the post you were quoting (since you talked about a fee and he was talking about a free).

No we can't cling to every poor player and there are quite a lot i'd gladly see the back of. However, there is a balance between change and stability, the manager appears to think that keeping Pedersen is a good idea, though not at any cost, and for all this talk of getting in someone on a free etc, I was merely pointing out that frees cost too. Perhaps I should have been more precise in my terminology. I was not suggesting genuinely that you do know how to do this deal but there are so many fans simply saying get rid and not fully thinking through the implications. If it were that simple, we'd already have pulled the plug on Pedersen signing and be looking elsewhere. The club want to keep him, whether you and a few thousand other fans do or not. They obviously think he's the best deal in the current financial climate or they'd be saying goodbye and lining up that replacement. As for Roberts, well, that would depend on the fee and actaully having someone else in the pipeline who could come in straightaway and do a better job for less. So perhaps I'd sell, and perhaps I'd not be so quick to get rid of players, but take a bit more time and weigh the alternatives very carefully. Football is, in most cases our hobby. It's Allardyce and his management team's livelihood and they have to get it right more often than not. Otherwise they are looking at being out of a job.
