[Archived] Rovers Might Have Been Sold?

Recommended Posts

No, there isn't, and I'm frankly not surprised that someone with right-on previous on this board has tried to play the race card.

We're talking about a deal worth millions, and this guy is squealing about it on twitter using street patois or txt language or whatever you want to call it. It is, in my view, highly unprofessional.

i'm sick to the back teeth of people playing teh race card, give it a rest.

You might be sick of it Bryan..doesn't mean it doesn't happen. If the guy doing the deal had a silver spoon in his mouth rather than talking in 'patois' I think some of the comments might have read somewhat differently.

As for your comment about 'right-on previous',I'm afraid you've lost me.

If he had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth and was a honky cracker whitebread blue-eyed devil white trash, and he twittered on like that, I'd still think he was a goofy knob-wit.

I seem to remember you made a big thing of sticking up for foxes, a lefty trendy urban right-on cause.

We are talking about the takeover of our club FFS.

Firstly, we had the Indians (apparently) making lies about having first refusal and also due diligence. Now, we have been made aware of some rather unprofessional comments by someone involved in the deal (Nathianel). Maybe because I like the safety and common sense of the Trust, however, I am hardly too enthused about the potential alternative(s)....

Wrong thread but yeah you're right,I did.Not so you could label me with your considered 'lefty trendy urban right-on cause'jibe but because I happen to strongly believe in it.I like that you're so quick to stigmatise though...time to get back to your Daily Mail perhaps???

So being left-wing has a stigma attached to it?

I actually thought your views were quite ignorant. Time to get back to your copy of the Morning Star? (Sorry, was that stigmatising?)

Strongly felt rather than ignorant. And by the way,I'm still happy that none of my hobbies involve killing things. If that bothers you you're confusing me with someone that gives a s**t.

I thought somewhere that I read the deal would like to be completed in about a month (4 weeks) which would take us to mid July. There is no point worrying about something that we can not control, lets just wait a week or 2 and see what happens.

I do not think it is right to judge somebody JUST on their use of words on twitter. Have any of us met him/ He may not twitter to our personal taste. But he appears to be successful at what he does in business. Anyway his twitter comments / words look like a personal diary. Maybe there are people who know him, who speak to him often and therefore expect him to twitter the way he does.

At the end somebody has trusted him to the extent that he has been a a 'fixer' in bring people together interested in buying a football club. That club being Rovers. If this takeover is successful and Rovers are able to build on the success from last season. If they are able to fight for a place in Europe, rather than relegation. If the Indians eventually complete the takeover and they run the club in a very successful manner - will any of us really give a damn how the person who brought the whole thing together twitters? No we would all be chuffed to bits and happy for them to twitter anyway they choose to do so.

Initially Shah had said he hoped to complete the due diligence within 4 weeks, which would be mid-July, but I think the time-scale has changed now plus he jumped the gun.

What are your thoughts on this takeover situation. Do you think they could be good for the club? Do they have funds etc to take the club forward? Whats your gut feeling on all this?

I too am anti fox hunting. I too dislike racisim but it plays aboslutley no part in the derision of his tweets and to even try and imply it does does you no favours at all.

It is purely down to the fact that he writes in the same way as a twelve year old chav. You would hope that someone who is brokering a multi million pound take over of our club would have a decent standard of education and at the very least be able to string together a coherent sentence.

Not a good idea to publish your personal diary on the World Wide Web I'd suggest. After all anyone could read it and form an opinion based on what they read.

It may not actually be him writing the Tweets, As it says the twitter page is NVA's it could be a number of his employee's

ps sparkspakespoke stop being Chavist  !

i too think it could be anybody from NVA, not necessarily Nathanial. howvever, should the takeover really be mentioned on this twitter business? it seems, that the NVA camp are somewhat of show offs. its very unprofessional, as you dont see Bill Gates on twitter, telling the world what he does with his money. as a professional, you try and maintain that professionalism throughout your business. He(Nathaniel), comes across as somebody who loves the attention if indeed its him posting like that on twitter. Ive also never seen or heard of people, asking talented individuals to let them know how good they are as is the case in one of his tweets. unless of course i read that wrong, but you would generally go out and spot talented individuals and then bring them into your camp.

If it is true that a group of Indians aged between their 50s and 70s were clubbing in London at 5am on the same day they met Rovers and the Trust at Brockhall, I expect the Trust are getting an extremely good deal out of them!

Clubbing at the age of 70 , wonders never seem to cease.

Are the prospective Indians the only potential Indian clubbers in London on that night? :P

3 to 4 day hangovers I'd wager. I had to jack in clubbing in my early 30's :(
