[Archived] Rovers Might Have Been Sold?

Recommended Posts

I'm Surprised that he even spoke to Kamy, I'm sure yesterday he declined to give any further details to the local rag.

If you look at it from his perspective if he intends to take over the club that we love, he should really be doing a bit of ground work to convince us that he is the right man to lead the club forward.

Anyway it was only an initial conversation, I suppose it depends what his advisors think. And his bruv Nafffanial!!!

Isnt Kamy in the media circle too??

Anyway some questions.

1 - why us?

2 - what are his intentions?

3 - What sort of funds would the manager have available to him for the next 10 years?

4 - How does he think he can boost our profile?

5 - Can we please move the cameras to the shed stand?

I have to say I agree with Balwer the actual process of due dilligence would be covered with the NDA but there are a few questions that I would like asked:

1. His shipping interests what's the name of the company?

2. If he takes over the club will JW remain with the club in some capacity?

3. how does he plan to market the club in India?

4. If he takes over will Sam remain in a job?

thanks Kamy

I was thinking today, a few have mentioned the original suggested completion date.

Is June not our year end?, and as such slow the process down.

I assume they would want the latest figures?.

Can't see then mulling over unaudited A/C for last year, and provisional A/C for this year, or would they.

Have talked to Saurin Shah, just verifying it is actually him and then hopeful of getting a "on the record" exclusive interview for thIs website very soon.

Conversation was brief, he wanted to know who I was and about this site, when I told him about this site was very interested in giving a interview, I told him that the interview would have to be "on the record". No doubt he or his advisors will be checking this site from now on.

10 out of 10.

Nice one.

This is a very common issue in my job.

When we are deciding whether we are going to finance a business or not we always ask/demand the latest numbers ie now being 2 first quarters of 2010 and revised numbers for 2009.

You would have thought year end wouldnt affect too many things - the figures will already been known, more or less so they would work off that.

Suprised due diligence stage hasnt been reached, how long will that take as a minimum if everything else is in place?!

Why would you accept "known" figures, they mean nothing until they have been audited, the amount of jiggery pokery that goes on prior to the final figures being submitted can, shall we say surprising.

Due diligence will of course expose the adjustments but why risk a deal for the sake of a few weeks.

It's been mentioned that the deal may not be concluded until the start of the season, waiting for accurate figures may have moved the original date back a month.

As long as you want it to be then...so can due diligence be done in a day then?

Maji - go back to bed & get out of the right side :P

Ask Jan. She knows all about "due diligence".

She does it for fun. Don't you Jan?

I'd be surprised if many on here knew what it really meant.

dont think they would need to wait for the financial year to end. Rovers would have forcasted where they would need to be, and will kind of have a rough figure anyways. Its nervy times at the moment, when you consider its nearly the start of the season, and its as quiet as what it has ever been.

With everything now keyed into computers nowadays, study of the P & L account will get somewhere thereabouts, plus a cash flow projection etc

Afraid I can't do that I haven't yet figured out how to walk through walls :P

I just want it over one way or the other, it all seems to be taking a long time. I don't seem to remember all the others in the league taking so long, but perhaps thats just because I wasn't as interested as I am in ours.

Just so you know Hicks managed his due diligence in 3 days.

Everyone in the buyout world works off a Last Twelve Months (LTM) or 'rolling' profit (and sometimes cashflow) figure. In terms of then having the accounts audited this is often made the subject of a 'Condition Precedent' of any contract documentation. This helps to alleviate any delays in the process. I would assume this is the case here if Rothschilds are involved.

yeah and look what happened there. I would imagine due dilligence would take a bit longer than that but if we are a bit patient it will be resolved quite soon. We are prob. just doing the final checks and last thing we need is a perilous situation like Liverpool's. Kamy any news as to when Mr Shah is likely to do a Q & A with this board? thanks.

Portsmouth's took this long maj, dont you remember it srtetching over the whole of last summer. It seems to be quicker when people have the money to make it quick...

You do make a very good point, I did state a couple of days ago it's got to the stage of show us your money.

Talk is cheap, we could all go to the estate agents and go view a mansion, it doesn't mean that we can afford to buy it.
