Backroom trueblue Posted July 16, 2010 Backroom Posted July 16, 2010 Some people find it hard to understand that everyone is being very tight lipped because of the NDA. No one is going to know ANYTHING until the club, Rothschilds or the bidders wish it to be known! We just have to chill out and let it take it's course

Bobby G Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 For all we know, due diligence could be well underway.
PAFELL Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 For all we know, due diligence could be well underway. My thoughts also. After all with the NDA in force anything could be happening. I presume nobody has to say publicly that due diligence has now started.
Hughesy Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 For all we know, due diligence could be well underway. Wasnt the last time I checked last week...they were still in 'negotiations'.
Amo Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Wasnt the last time I checked last week...they were still in 'negotiations'. Do you have the boardroom bugged?
Hughesy Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Do you have the boardroom bugged? No I just asked the question RE progress and that's what I was told!!
67splitscreen Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 No I just asked the question RE progress and that's what I was told!! We obviously don't know who you asked but outside of the board room (below director level) do you think anyone knows the exact state of play. The club is well aware moles are at work to get the heads up and which staff are most vulnerable to approach. IMO staff who are in a position were their knowledge could be potential damaging will in no uncertain terms have been told what to say if asked, their jobs would no doubt be on the line if confidences were broken. Still in negotiations would be the response everyone will use until the deal is done. It saves face for all, if it all goes wrong it leaves future interested parties in the dark as to why it failed, with no damage done.
Hughesy Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 We obviously don't know who you asked but outside of the board room (below director level) do you think anyone knows the exact state of play. It was above that level sir.....The stance was, no bid has been accepted still, negotiations are ongoing & no due dillgence has been reached (however this was about 10 days ago).
BPF Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 It was above that level sir.....The stance was, no bid has been accepted still, negotiations are ongoing & no due dillgence has been reached (however this was about 10 days ago). You talked to someone above director level? Are you a mystic, do you talk to Jack?
ada2020 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 You talked to someone above director level? Are you a mystic, do you talk to Jack?
Hughesy Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 You talked to someone above director level? Are you a mystic, do you talk to Jack? No I meant above the level he was talking about (i.e. lower than the big board members).
Sparky Marky Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Oh give over mate...you know no more than any of us...keep spinning this yarn about how connected you are and yet you back it up with nothing.
sparkspakespoke Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 It was above that level sir.....The stance was, no bid has been accepted still, negotiations are ongoing & no due dillgence has been reached (however this was about 10 days ago). You do know your mate behind the till in the gift shop is not above that level?
67splitscreen Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 It was above that level sir.....The stance was, no bid has been accepted still, negotiations are ongoing & no due dillgence has been reached (however this was about 10 days ago). OK fair enough, no need for the sarcasm, Sir. So it was not below director level, that leaves us with ... Above director level. John Williams David Brow Tom Finn Martin Goodman Directors Robert Coar, Richard Matthewman. Below them are President and vice President. I still stand by what I said, they would tell you nothing of any value to the current status, no doubt knowing were it would end out.
ewoodpo Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 It was above that level sir.....The stance was, no bid has been accepted still, negotiations are ongoing & no due dillgence has been reached (however this was about 10 days ago). You are bang on with that comment, I asked the same question last week and I was given the same answer .
Jackson Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 It was above that level sir.....The stance was, no bid has been accepted still, negotiations are ongoing & no due dillgence has been reached (however this was about 10 days ago). You are bang on with that comment, I asked the same question last week and I was given the same answer . You're absolutely right lads. I asked Emu and he told me exactly the same thing. Bang on.
ewoodpo Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 You're absolutely right lads. I asked Emu and he told me exactly the same thing. Bang on. Jackson, my friends some of us are in the know, then theirs others like yourself who aren't .
niggit Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I'm in the know, i'm not in the know, who cares who is and who is not. It will happen when it happens, and not one of us will find out anything until then.
Sparky Marky Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Jackson, my friends some of us are in the know, then theirs others like yourself who aren't . Fantastic. the english is so good too.
Majiball Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 To be fair Hughesy does get good titbits and I know he wouldn't come here saying something just for the sake of it. Thanks for the info, mate. please tell them to get their arses in gear and sort it out asap.
mhead Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Personally, Majiball for his football knowledge and eruditeness; and Hughesy for...well...just being Hughesy(weather forecaster, spy at Ewood etc etc) are my favourite contributors. Some of the others have feet of clay - finish up they do not even have season tickets. Bravo both - hasta nova season.
Exiled in Toronto Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I would think it far more likely that the party line is 'still in negotiations' until the minute the purchase is announced.
Brfcrule1 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 ok thanks Hughesy what about rumblings that might come out next week as vintage quoted? do you think there might be some news? even if it's a little progress? thanks.
Craigman Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Heres hoping that Mr Shah and his consortium can come to an agreement and purchase the club, as long as they can move the club forward, without putting us in danger.
