People also need to read the article published in the Daily Telegraph, the information for that article came from Mr Ali's company.

Wonder if Nicko or anyone else 'in the know' has any tidbits for us. Tremendous work by Kamy.

Have to say, WGA looks fairly boutique, total wages for 2009 of $607k is pretty small. To me it looks like the business of someone who inherited a lot of money and wanted to do something with it (which ties in with the East India background). His revenue growth is phenomenal, so it's clear he's made some good investments, and that he's also got the capital to sustain them when things go bad.

Cautiously optimistic. Sure seems more professional than the other bid though.

Dave, as an Australian I am aware of the Cubbie Station situation. Again, an asset management company is not an individual.

That's the bit I'm unsure about about - Big Sam + Big Money doesn't end well if Newcastle's anything to go by.

He's a decent enough manager on a budget but I shudder think what we might end up with. I bet Cacapa's and Alan Smith's agents are reading that and thinking, 'ker-ching' .... ;)

Deeyell Mark! Talk about pessimism. Altogether now........

Whats next post up for you? 'He's not the Messiah...... he's just a very naughty boy'. B)

I think that there are two genuine bidders for the club. Mr Shah's group are still talking to the club, however these guys seem to be well organised and are moving a lot faster than Mr Shah's group, this is possibly because they have the finance in place both in the short and long term whereas Mr Shah's group may not have.

Top work Kamy, I note Nicko has gone off the radar...hmmm

That will teach me for ignoring the alarm this morning...

Very interesting news. Odd that there should be some siliarities with the previous group of bidders. Could have been a 'stalking horse' for all we know, but who cares if it means money.

The timing is a bit strange - just like the Liverpool thing - because it messes up pre-season planning and signing strategy.

However some more dough and genuine interest from the owners is clearly needed.

Nah, that's been done countless times by countless other posters.

I shall refrain from my injections of realism until such time as the £300m is in the bank then .... ;)

Sounds too good to be true though, doesn't it?

He also needs a better PR piccy. Gazing thoughtfully into the middle distance pen at the ready is Bollywood tacky.

why is that Nicko? The article says they would want to complete the takeover by September, which rules out any signings during this transfer window : edit: didnt see the last bit there Nicko re signing strategy. And shouldnt you be out there, and find out what else might have been Syed about this potential takeover? ;)

Kamy,

You said to read the telegraph article, can one assume that the details in there represent this bidders concept for the club should they buy it?

IE Invest in the youth.

I'd love it if someone came in and did this and really made a push to make our academy one of the best around as for me its the only way for us long term.

Top work Kammy! :tu: Thanks for putting a smile on my face. :lol:Now let's just hope this one goes through. :rover:

how many times have we said that? :P If nothing happens, then this message board is going to be a very interesting place to be...

Did somebody not also say, that it takes longer than 4 weeks during due diligence process, before any takover can be completed? surely, these guys must have been through all that and have been talking to Rotschilds far longer than we might know, if they want to complete a takeover as soon as possible

I would say so, it has come directly from the people associated with the bid so it outlines what they hope to achieve with Rovers.

To make things even more mystical, I have been out this evening and shared a drink in Leyland with a member of a very local clubs backroom staff and according to them the rumours floating around are that the takeover by the so called Indian consortium has come to a stand still and that is a second group that has gone further down the negotiation line. The person in question is very close to Ewood staff having previously worked with BRFC so I have no doubt about their word.

Wouldnt go as far as saying who the second group may be but indicated that there was an English connection which made me think back to the guy who was linked to us and then Sheff Wed however I couldnt get any more details or information. The sad thing is, is that this person makes it clear that Rovers are a very attractive option for anyone wanting to own a Premiership club because of the business footing the club finds itself on.

Could be an interesting week.

POSTED SUNDAY !!!!
