Hughesy Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Whats that coming over the hill, is it a monster??? Is it a Nonda, is it a nonda? We knew things were happening today with the due diligence so no need for any confusion really. Someone go down and sing his name for a bit. Good job the weather is nice . Ha love the bit about a chant....Knew I should have thrown a sicky and got down there singing Difference between the 2 seems clear......1 knows exactly what he wants, his team seem professional, he's minted & he is getting on with it asap...the other seems like an amateur, hasnt really proven his wealth, mouths of to the media & sounds desperate. Syed all the way!! Love the Turban idea too!

alexanders Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Seriously, do they bring cases???? That means they are bringing the cash or laptops and everything else needed. Well I am off to the doctor with my 2 year old. Looking forward to come back and see all the speculation and rumours
bob fleming Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 URGENT UPDATE Lots of press outside the club shop. Just this minute at least 10 people have got out of big black cars and walked into Rovers getting filmed. These people were Mr Syed and his representatives. They were wheeling cases into the ground. Things are moving fast then It all sounds a bit sinister if you ask me. I mean, Black cars? Suitcases full of money? Moving fast? Do we really need this? I mean we are joint top of the league after all. How it possibly all looked, earlier, maybe, outside the Club Shop.
Iceman Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 take some vuvuzelas with to the club shop.. Is that prayer room still available at ewood?
Hughesy Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 3 large black cars arrived....Mr Syed isnt with the party....just his team
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Not surprising, he probably isn't as much of a financial/legal eagle as those he employs, he will have much better/important things to do than sit inside reading endless paperwork.
LeChuck Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Why would the trust sell to Shah when he accepts that he cannot match the long term funding of Syed? I could probably offer more long term funding than Shah. Edit: Scratch that, just found a two quid coin in my drawer. No 'probably' about it now, I could definitely offer more.
philipl Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 That is the due diligence team arriving to start work by the sound of it.
Majiball Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 That is the due diligence team arriving to start work by the sound of it. Hopefully they pull 20 hour days.
unluckymorton Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 A lighter look into the takeover dealings Good work beerwins!
philipl Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 You'll know for sure know it is them if the next arrivals at Ewood are a giant sized take away bucket, chocolate biscuits, gallons of coca cola, an expresso machine and some camp beds!
AggyBlue Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 This is beginning to sound like an Indian soap opera. The Bollywood film rights will make a tidy packet:lol:
philipl Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 A lighter look into the takeover dealings Brilliant!!!
Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Good work beerwins! Seconded! Top job.
Boz Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I would hope that the £300m "investment" finances look something like this; £20m to be paid to the Trust (BRFC Investments Limited) in exchange for their 133,981,201 £1 ordinary shares in Blackburn Rovers Football and Athletic PLC £20m to provide working capital into above company or whatever newco hive up. £260m to be capitalised into a new rights issue.

Guest Kamy100 Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I have contacted Julia Thiem. She has confirmed again that they have exclusivity. Rovers CANNOT sell the club to anyone else in the next four weeks. HOWEVER, the club are allowed to take with other interested parties during this four week period but not enter into due diligence. She is extremely confident that they can conclude this deal. They have sent all of their top people/advisors.
CrazyIvan Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Expresso? FFS! Yeah, they want really fast coffee! Espresso at 100mph...
T4E Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 A lighter look into the takeover dealings The line about Northcote has just about killed me off.

It means things don't go completely into deep freeze on alternatives and that the Trust clearly considers them to be a serious option should problems arise. Just keeps Syed's team on their toes, not that they need it judging by the bullish tone of Julia Thiem. If as seems the case, Syed is very confident of closing this out, allowing the Trust freedom to talk is not a concession of any magnitude by them. They have control over what matters. CryerRovers tweets- Interesting times at Ewood. Mr Ali Syed's negotiating team meant business as they arrived for talks in style. Pics and latest in tmrw's LT
