Is there a window we can stand at near to John Williams office and shove our noses against.

If this was the Clampetts it would be.."we only use quills here. The books and invoices are in that Aldi carrier bag"

At the Rovers: "All the information is on this CD-Rom. It includes the projections, current Marketing Plan and specific Performance Indicators"

It will all be 'done and dusted' by 5pm and Messi here in the morning. HAPPY DAYS.

We do, but things could be a hell of a lot worse for our club. We could do with getting a few players and going a few places up the league, but that counts as a boost in my book rather than a complete turning round.

What I mean is that I hope Syed realises we don't have a right to be at the very top and that we're doing pretty well at the moment. The higher we get, the better, but I don't want his expectations to be too high.

I'm very interested to see where the rest of this £200 million is going to be spent though. Surely there's only so much you can spend on marketing and the academy?!

You could spend millions on the academy per season. Facilities up grade at Brockhall, equipment and so on as well as seriously increasing the staff. It won't be cheap. Some funds as well for providing for all the kids that come through and wages as well and you could easily be talking many millions a year.

I could spend 100 million just on that over 10 years.

I do agree a couple of seasoned QUALITY players for up front and central midfield, along with a young left back to cover Givet and a young winger who could play primarily on the left and We'd look much stronger. I wouldn't say no to another young central midfielder as well. Then start shifting the not needed for whatever we can get or loaning them out asap.

Increased Sponsorships?

The bit at the end RE ground improvements sounded to me like ticket prices would be going up.

I agree, he mentioned increased revenue when talking about expanding the stadium. And I fail to see how that can be achieved without increasing the ticket prices. Without being too pessimistic, Ewood wasn't full week in-week out in the mid 90s, why should it suddenly happen now?

Having said that, it all sounded very good :)

Interview with CNBC by the man himself

Very interesting including possibly increasing capacity of Ewood Park in time.

did anybody get the feeling that the guy doing the interview, was just trying his best to put Blackburn in a bad light? or was it just me who thinks that? However, Syed seemed well aware of what he is buying into and answered each question with real purpose. This guy knows what he is up against, and he just seems like he knows what he wants to do.

I listened to that too but I didn't hear anything mentioned about increasing ticket prices. I did hear him talk about increasing the crowd size. A 10% increase in average attendance would push us closer to 30,000 a game and with marketing and promotions I don't see why it can't be a bit more if the target is the asian market. An owner like Syed may well attract an audience from Blackburn's asian community and from the surrounding areas (like Preston for example) as well. I can see the idea and the thought behind it. Will it happen? Watch, wait and see I suppose...

Maybe, just maybe, there is a fairy Godmother.

The man has obviously done his homework and in his home country too. I feel he truly believes that he can turn Rovers into THE team that Indians will support. The idea has risk of failure, but the success that could come from attempting this could be massive. He specifically said room for development and expansion of fan base “in India.

He clearly must believe he can increase our fan base...and for that he has to be looking at the ethnic communities

The question however has to be, what do they want that we havent got & what will attract them to come to Ewood?

Perhaps another way to help boost our attendances is to put on coaches for our supporters in other surrounding areas?

To be fair the guys in the interview were asking very fair questions, it's exactly the questions I'd be asking and it was interesting to hear his responses to them.

Very good little interview.
