I cant get excited about this.. both potential bidders are shady characters in my opinion. I hope I'm wrong but I wouldn't want another Gaydamak or Shinawatra to take over Rovers.. This talk about being a fan and not in it for the money is total bullshit.. who goes into a business deal if it isn't for the money. Those thinking that this is Jack reincarnated are just fooling themselves. Theres only one Jack Walker.

i wouldn't have put it quite like that , but i undertsand your concerns this guy seems to be saying all the things we want to hear ....whats that about something being too good to be true..........

Somethings just crossed my mind with all of this. Syed wants to get it done asap to aid Sam in the market and whilst that brings joy to my heart and hopefully all of you as well, we should take a moment to consider those people that this deal will cause harm to.

Thanks for making up the numbers in the 5 a sides Banjoni, but your services are no longer required.

Potential owner on Radio lancs in 1 min

Cheers for the heads up. Got listening to the whole interview, which the BBC website quotes have been taken from. As Jisty says, he really is saying all the right things at this stage. Anyone else think he has been informed of the feedback from sites such as this one? Seemed to be attempting to address a lot of the fears which have been discussed on this forum. If you're reading this Mr. Syed 10/10 so far, and more importantly, can I have some money please sir.

He's saying all the right things, which is great, and it's easy to get caught up in the excitement, but really anyone with a decent PR team and half a brain should say the right things when buying a football club. Just say:

"I don't want to make a profit"

"I just want to be seen as a fan"

"It's about passion"

"I'll put money into the team"

"I'll improve facilities"

"There will be a long-term plan and it will be about the long-haul and planning for the future"

That isn't to say that he isn't for real and that this won't be fabulous for the club, but any one of us could have told him that those were the things to say. I hope that this is as good as it looks, but it's still good to approach it with a fair amount of caution.

My thoughts exactly!

Really hope the blackburn public warm to this. I, like many, was too young to remember the title winning side, and although i cant see us ever reaching that peak again, to see our team potentially rise again as a premier league force is frankly unbelievable. There are far bigger teams, far bigger names who have not come near tasting the success this football club has enjoyed over the past 20 years. For those days to perhaps return is something i never thought could be achieved.

Blackburn needs to turn out if this goes through. Its looks like we're about to get very very lucky. The least we can do is turn up and watch it.

Cant find any fault on that Radio Lancs interview.

Meanwhile Vinjay has emailed the following

Now what was that I used to see in response to my comments from BRFCS members in 2005 and last year. I seem to recall many statements like "shut up Vinjay" and "there will never be a takeover Vinjay."

Well tell your members from me that I hope the humble pie tastes good. I'm not at all surprised by Mr Syed's intentions. I said all along this is a big club with huge potential. All your members did is try to run this club down time and time again. Yes I might be gloating but if anyone deserves a gloat after recent events its me. You have laughed at me for long enough but who's laughing now?

Vinjay

Oh and people won't be obsessing over your parochial nonsense for much longer either.

The key for me is the speed which this fella is moving things - no messing, his team seem professional & Im pretty sure he will have had to convince our trust first. So if they give him the go ahead then im sure hes the real deal.

CANNOT WAIT!! BRING IT ON!!!

You can already see the big boys worrying, they already hate playing us - without £100m spent on our playing side of things!
