Listened to the radio Lancs interview and apologies are in order to Philipl. Never thought we'd get to this stage but we have, its real, something I didnt think would happen but hearing the guy on the radio thought he came across really well.

Personaly , dont want to see headlines of Rovers having lots of money to spend when this is all concluded, just get on with the business of getting results.

Having an International marketing team alongside a local team has got to be an extremely exciting prospect for the club as a whole........ bring it on and lets do it !

Wouldn't the new rules in 2012 prevent the club from going crazy in the transfer market, anyway? I'm hoping for a steady investment, allowing Sam to enhance the quality of the squad, without breaking the bank.

The key for this take over, is completion before the transfer deadline. If it's completed after the deadline, how will the players be motivated knowing come January a significant number could be surplus to requirements....

The key for me is the speed which this fella is moving things - no messing, his team seem professional & Im pretty sure he will have had to convince our trust first. So if they give him the go ahead then im sure hes the real deal.

CANNOT WAIT!! BRING IT ON!!!

Exactly! I think a lot of people are underestimating how far things have come just to get to this stage, this is much more than Mr Syed sending a few of his mates over on a holiday.

Another chapter in Blackburn Rovers Rollercoaster history? I always thought myself to be a fortunate football fan to have witnessed us being the best in the land all those years ago. To do what many football fans can only dream of. To think maybe we'll possibly once again be upsetting the big clubs is unbelievable :-)

Just remember if it wasn't for Uncle Jack, we wouldn't be in this position today.

A few reasons why people are feeling a little anxious about the current deal:

2nd January 2006 - Businessman Alexandre Gaydamak becomes joint owner of Portsmouth

3rd January 2006 - Gaydamak makes £100m available for new signings (ring any bells?)

5th January 2006 - Portsmouth sign Benjani Mwaruwari in a £4.1m deal

11th March 2010 - Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs accepted the club's move into administration

And a few reasons why I'm not:

Ahsan Ali Syed has been very open with his plans for the club, not afraid to discuss the matters with local press outlets

His background is easily accessible to an average idiot like myself. No visible skeletons in the wardrobe (unlike Gaydamak for example)

All the signs point to a long-term plan (he has suggested 15 years), as opposed to Portsmouth who tried to spend all the money before it burnt a hole in the generously-joweled ones pocket.

Syed - "I am not here to make money, I have enough investments outside of the sporting entities to make money, I am taking Blackburn as a passion and I would like them to support me in my passion. This is an investment to fuel my passion."

He is quite clearly minted.

oh, and we won't be spending £4.1m on Benjani

It's stick or twist time. Let's twist again.... :tu:

I was thinking that watching the tribute at Ewood on Saturday. It was emotional thinking about the incredible adventures we've had and that the ride may be about to start all over again. I think Jack would love this.

Finally managed to sort out the laptop and get online.

it certainly is an interesting set of developments.

I am more than happy with what I have read and heard.

I am certain a Mr Walker is watching on us, laughing at the thought that his club are once again going to try and upset the applecart.

BRFC does not need the type of investment like we have seen at City. City are nowhere near as settled a club as we are even though they have the money and the fans. what gthey dont have is a family outfit, a proper run club with proper ethics and supporters. thats where we differ because on the pitch we can challenge them any day, superstars or no superstars.

I hope they have the suites at the hotel they are staying at !
