BuckyRover Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I'm bored of being cautious. I'm jumping straight in, head over heels. It might bite me on the backside in the end, but the ride will be enjoyable. I also just passed my driving test. It's been a great week!
only2garners Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 There is a very good possibility that if the takeover is successful that a face to face Q&A can be arranged for members of this board. It's very interesting and encouraging that he wants to meet and talk to fans. Separately yesterday I put down a marker with the club for a meeting with Mr Syed and the Fans Forum at an appropriate time, which seemed to be received fairly positively.
Glenn Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 How does one go about being considered for said opportunity? Too many ifs and buts to plan THAT far ahead at this time
Seggie Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I think an perspective owner of Rovers needs to work on winning the hearts and minds of the fans purely because of who our previous owner was and how important it is we see his legacy carried forward in a positive manner. If he was coming in and not saying much or saying we are going to make Rovers make them money fast we as fans would be questioning his motives more, however hes coming out saying the right things yet we still question him. Another thing Ive noticed about all this is we as Rovers fans are strange people, instead of discussing what this means on the pitch we seem to be focussing on the plans for the stadium, lets look at it this way, the more empty seats there is the cheaper the season tickets are.
ABBEY Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Er...yeah, because Blackburn is about a third Scottish isn't it? whooooosh doh
Gav Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Gav, book the mini-bus, were off t' bl**dy India lad Thanks for all your info Kamy.
67splitscreen Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Shah first seen a Rovers against Arsenal last season, quite ironic if Syed's first visit as the new owner is the upcoming Arsenal game.
ffan Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 If that Syed fella takes over I'm putting money on Blackburn winning a trophy before City
Seggie Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 If that Syed fella takes over I'm putting money on Blackburn winning a trophy before City With Hughes Id put money on Fulham winning something before city
tony gale's mic Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 whooooosh doh Ha. You. Calling me stupid. How about trying to form some actual arguments, if you're capable?
S15 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Shah admits he can't compete with Syed's figures. What a wimp; Did he not see the Pompey takeover? If you haven't got the money mate, just lie and say you have. Gone off him now.
Gav Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Good job the pikey stood on the back grabbed the wheel and stopped you going backwards ! I've no idea if I'm being insulted or not AS
Majiball Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 The more mature posters first. Oh, age before beauty it is then. Too many ifs and buts to plan THAT far ahead at this time Could one request notification should said event occur, dear fellow?
mogster Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Shah admits he can't compete with Syed's figures. Shah says he's gutted because "Rovers are his first love"! Eh!?? Was that Arsenal game not the first time he'd set foot in Blackburn? It was probably a lust thing or a long distance attraction because those Blue & White halves ARE bloody gorgeous.

Imagine there's no club debt It's easy if you try 19 teams below us and better coverage on Sky Imagine all the strikers we could sign today Imagine there's no 'shoe string' It isn't hard to do No need to sell or loan for And no Keith Andrews too Imagine all the people We could fit in our new Ewood You may say that I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday Syed'll join us And then BRFC will be as one

Ewood and I Would Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Sam putting a damper on the transfer window. ""The chairman says to me it would be almost impossible to think that any of that money might be available before the end of this window." My link As I said in the other thread (although nicko will tell you I said otherwise), IF the money did come through this window it would only be the juicy cherry on a very big (but ultimately more satifying) cake. Thanks for that!! Bit of advice though don't give up your day job. I write for Girls Aloud in the day. Bit narked at my spat with nicko may I suggest?

philipl Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I write for Girls Aloud in the day. In that case, you deserve all the flak sent in your direction and a lot more besides!
Majiball Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I write for Girls Aloud in the day. Bit narked at my spat with nicko may I suggest? No, not at all if anything I thought it was all quite humorous, I'm merely fulfilling a great personal past time of mine stirring the pot. Anyhow I have to shoot off, my boys in a sack race today and he gets sad if I'm late.
