Really? I found it inordinately pretentious, personally.

I'm not sure what's funnier:

You proclaiming to the world that you're studying at some second-rate social sciences polytechnic - and calling other people pretentious, ('Keele'; that's near Stoke isn't it?); or the thought of some spotty sociology student spending his Friday nights on a football internet message board.

Apart from the slight but continual lack of respect spelling Syed with an 'a', I agree.

It's only got four letters in it, it shouldn't be that hard to spell.

But then again, some of our own fans continually spelled Friedel and Nelsen wrongly, so perhaps it's not that surprising.

Not just spelling, remember our Aussie keeper, John Phelan?

And more recently "Kalanic".

If the takeover goes through how would people feel about modfying the chant there is only 1 Jack Walker to there is only 2 Jack Walkers!

I think it pays homage to Jack while also acknolweding the potential new owner?

Yes maybe I should be spelling it right but I'd just woke up!

I see someone's let the racists out again!

Don't be daft. How could anybody find that offensive? Obviously he's not a proper black man but it's only poetic licence being employed. It's a play on 'Big fat Jacks Barmy army' which was soon curtailed when he made it plain that he didn't like it. Im sure that J*B is not intending to offend.

It's only like Scousers christening John Barnes 'Tarmac' in the 1980's cos he was like a black Heighway. They loved him.

It's about humour not racism.

And what you find humorous can be seen as offensive (and in this case racist) to others...

How about something completely new and nothing to do with Jack.

Ali Syed, Syed

Ali Syed, Syed

Think it's a bit disrespectful tbh, there is only one Jack and it should stay that way. Sayed should get his own song.

You are quite right in all that Seggie. But could I just point out that the man himself has said he prefers to be known as Mr. Ali (not Syed)

Are you for real? I highly doubt Syed would find that offensive.. Just like I highly doubt Chris Samba finds the "Chris Samba is a big black man" song offensive! Infact, if I was Syed I'd find it the ultimate compliment to be talked about in the same breath as Jack Walker.

"he's giving us loads'a money" goes alot better!

Im slow today! I like it though

Well I never actually knew that. Doesn't help that the majority of people on this board and press refer to him as Syed.

Aliiiii,

He's got loads'a money,

He heard 'bout the famous BRFC,

He was on the next flight, that very same day,

Wearing blue and White every Saturday!

Well that's certainly a huge improvement on your first effort, but personally I feel it quite wrong and disrespectful also to keep alluding to someone's personal wealth.

All we know is the guy studied in london, made lots of cash, comes from India and fancies an investment in a foot all club.. What's your song suggestion?
