Hi Kamy100,

Could you please ask Mr Syed's people when you next speak to them with regards to the clubs merchandising if they takeover will they be increasing the lines in the club shop to include items like hip flasks,wallpaper/borders, blinds etc... Also can you ask them if they do takeover will they change the way they send out items like using the royal mail service or will they continue down the bus. post route.

Thanks.

The team is a striker short and you want to go shopping.

I do not know a polite way to say this. I also do not know how to say No in Indian or to be completely honest, boll--ks to your request. The team is a striker short and you want to go shopping.

I wish you lot would leave the guy alone. Just stop it you are like a load of bullies and poor BRFC1 is just so naive that he does not even recognise it when you do it. He comes across in every single one of his posts as a thoroughly nice person who is just so innocent that he is almost child-like.

Just give the guy a break. And yes I am being serious!!

Sorry I did not mean to offend anyone but was merely taking an interest in what might happen to the club if it gets taken over. Seeing as though Mr Syed did say he wanted to grow the rovers brand I thought he might be looking into that area. Pafell I do know that we are a striker short & we need another body in & yes I am worried. I also would like to see this great club return to the days when Rover the moon was going and it stocked all sorts of items because more items will obviously mean more sales & the brand will grow nationally & abroad thanks Fife & Kelbo.

Ignore 'em all brfcrule.

Anyway, Sam was interviewed on Radio Rovers pre-match. Straight away he was asked about the takeover. He said that there are/were recently three interested parties. Of these three, Syed had taken it as far as he has. He found the prospect of investment exciting, but added that it would be "well after the window was closed" before any cash would be available, if indeed this takeover was to go through.

Now then, the thing I take from this, is that this interview wouldn't have been just off the cuff, - the club would have OK'd this interview with Sam. So I assume that the talks with Syed are indeed still ongoing.

I wouldn't read too much into it. If there is any doubt that it might not be completed before the 31st, then we cannot risk other clubs upping their valuations on the premise that we will soon have more funds. That's my opinion anyway.

Three interested parties? Seems like Eddie has made an approach....

You did not offend anybody. Think people were just surprised at the different subject within the rovers takeover thread. You are also right, that the Rovers brand must be put out worldwide.

Not rovers but trust Mandaric to forget there is an Owners and Directors test!

The Leicester take over remains unapproved as a consequence.

My reading of Sam's comments is that there will be no transfer of ownership before the window closes. I am sticking to my 5 weeks forecast from exclusive signing to sale- which is now 1.5 weeks old.

If it can't be done in time to provide some funds for this window then there seems little point in rushing it through a week after the window closes.

If it was possible to complete in 5 weeks I would have thought there would be sufficient confidence in the sale going through to release money for transfers. That final week would surely be the formality of the handover process with a very small probability of something going wrong?

Just doesn't work that way. Believe me, five weeks would be absolutely busting a gut if it is achieved.

To go from first contact to achieving sale in under ten weeks is phenomenally quick for any business to change hands, never mind a £50m+ turnover Premier League football club.
