I also find it odd that he owned an old man/woman's trolley. Very odd.

He also appears to have been playing the lottery ! That's how he made his billions !!!

5 live says:

His family made their money from 'the paddy fields'of Hydrabad...... thought he was the sole heir to the East India company?

Attended London school of Economics.....NO record of him at the school?

Not known in his home town?

Not known in the Banking circles of Bharian?

God this guys voice is annoying and he is a bit patronising towards the landlord.

Too much smoke in my view, time to ditch Syed. Though he has the right to defend himself. The jury waits to hear his statement.

That's what stood out the most for me too

Why would a multi-billionaire with a chauffeur own a shopping trolley.

On that reason alone, get rid! :D

Well well well what a waste of 30minutes air time.

What did it reveal, NOTHING in evidence AT ALL.

I am now waiting for a response from WAG before commenting further.

From what I've heard on Radio dead so far, I think we should all be grateful that Mr Syed has been investigated so hard.

I get the sneaky feeling that they've dredged up some facts that Rovers will probably never have been aware of.

Wouldn't surprise me if Syed announces he's pulling the plug on any potential deal.

In my opinion, there are too many questions that need answering.

Did he prove the credentials of the so called land-lord? Could he prove its the exact same man??

Anything new come out of the radio interview or is it just the expected same rubbish trying to make abit of mud stick?

We have russian gangsters and government crook owners in the past & this is all they can throw at him???

Problem is the damage already done?

If he buys the club the fans will be worried after hearing about these claims and the press will have a field day if we turn into another Pompey.

We have to see what his response is but from a PR point of view, from his perspective and from Rothschild's and the Trust it looks bad.

Can't believe this post...

Just can't see this sale going through, would make us laughable after all this.

On the contrary, if the guy does have the money, this might make him even more determined to clear his name, prove the doubters wrong and make Rovers a success.

I cant believe a BBc journo has potentially uncovered financial anomalies that haven't been spotted by Rothschilds? Hmmm...someone has got it very wrong

Surely Rothchilds etc will be aware of the supposed financial irregularities, well you would blo0dy hope so! Accouting guy saying he is highly sceptical of his figures....

We should be grateful that this is happening before a takeover and not afterwards.

IF Rothschild has missed all this then thank god they're aware of this now.

IF the BBC has got it wrong and Ali Syed can prove he has the funds and answer all these questions then at least he can be classed as a fit and proper person.
