Someone on the 5live investigates facebook page is saying Syed owes him £900,000.

It's one twist after another.

It looks like there maybe another guy with an axe to grind that's posting stuff on the 5 Live Investigates Facebook page.

They would have a job asking blackburn rovers to pay a debt for an individual when they are owned by a company called WGA.

I get the feeling he may have upset some people on his way to making millions, hardly front page news and the claims for money may be being hyped up by the fact he claims to be worth so much.

If someone owed you so much money from eight years ago, you would have done something about it by now ! Some creditors that I know would have ordered new kneecaps for their debtors!

I listened to the 5 live radio programme last night and was appalled at the content. It made very grim listening. This guy - Ali - seems to be a liar. There was no record of him owning land where he said he owned it, unpaid bills here and there, and so on. But the worse news was that a company employing 11 people on paper made £93 million profit apparently had no assets and cash reserves of only £250,000. I have completely gone off this take over, in fact I dread it. A professor of accountancy said that he was sceptical about the accounts. I just hope Blackburn know what they are doing.

So we write the guy off on the basis of one radio programme. What then?

I can't believe this! I struggle to sleep Friday cos i'm getting married on Saturday. Manage to console myself with thoughts of imagined riches at Ewood - manage to sleep. Get married Saturday and remain positive (despite the days events). Wake up Sunday to here this news. I just don't know what to do. Its my 30th on the 23rd and my brother and best frind have bought me tickts for the fulham game. I thought i'd arrive into a stadium of joy and expectations. Now i don't know what to expect. By the way, please can someone let me know a good place to go after the match for a good friendly pint. Preferably far away from the FENHURST which my 'GOOD' friends have booked for me? Absolute nonsense - if a debt is more than six years old it is unenforceable.

You would have thought anyone being owed that sort of money would be well aware of that and would have issued proceedings before the expiry of the limitation period to protect their position.

The ever "helpful" Goldberg team should be well aware of that as well.

Whether its an effective smear campaign depends on Mr. Syed. If he can blast the allegations out of the water, he'll only be the stronger for it.

If untrue, then the BBC and Goldberg have a lot to answer for and Syed should hold their feet to the fire. If true, they may have done us a favor. Let's wait and see.
