This is making me think more & more - have the prem rejected him at the fit & proper test stage????

I was also thinking exactly that. It wouldn't surprise me if they were out to make a statement but if he had the funds then on what grounds could they refuse him? Surely not on the findings by the letting agent, the lecturer and a journalist.

I sure as hell hope not. It'd only further feed the ridiculous notion amongst some people that there's some big conspiracy against our club.

well, if he did have the money, there'd only be two ways he could fail the test surely:

1) He didn't acquire it legally.

2) The powers that be didn't want little old Blackburn Rovers upsetting the apploecart again.

Not saying that's the case necessarily , having read through the WGA accounts last night and also the comments attributed to Mr. Syed in relation to the proposed Aussie deal (which mirror exactly his comments about potentially taking over Rovers) I'd be more inclined at this precise moment to think he doesn't have the money.

I think you guys have got off lightly here, think about it, Ali SYed doesn't have the money, it was smoke and mirrors which managed to get past Rothchilds and The trust.

He was found out when he got to the fit and proper test, where he couldn't produce the funds, some sereous questions need answering at the club as to how he got that far?

P.S I'm a Pompey fan

I will wait and see what the outcome and the reasons why before commenting in full. If the deal is dead then I have to say I would be disappointed but ultimately not surprised. I had hoped we might have finally found someone that was ready and able to take over and push this club forward, rather than being in a constant struggle to survive due to our finances.

Its clear we need new owners, hopefully one of these other interested parties might be suitable if indeed the deal with Mr.Syed has fallen through.

So much depression guys. Chin up guys it is not the end of the world.

Wait for official confirmation before all of this, you never know it could be what I have heard is wrong, that is why it is important to get it confirmed officially.

Thanks for the updates Kammy. Rarely smoke without fire.

If true alot of people need to take a look at themselves in the mirror.

Headline in the LT tomorrow.

BUSINESS AS USUAL !
