It isn't really because we are suffering a slow and painful death under the current owners.

That's true if you think Premier League football is the most important aspect of supporting Rovers.

For me, the most important thing about supporting Rovers is supporting Rovers.

What he's saying is that if Mr Syed is dodgy and has lied to everyone then it's better to be under our current owners than some con artist who could cause the club a lot of problems.

I think you guys have got off lightly here, think about it, Ali SYed doesn't have the money, it was smoke and mirrors which managed to get past Rothchilds and The trust.

He was found out when he got to the fit and proper test, where he couldn't produce the funds, some sereous questions need answering at the club as to how he got that far?

P.S I'm a Pompey fan

Er no...you're a Rovers fan who's full of @#/?.

No no, it's just true if you have a brain.

Reread it, it's nothing to do with anything other than what it says.

If we end up getting relegated, we might end up having no Rovers to support at all.

Whilst that is true, you have to also feel that the club is part of your family and you always want your family to do their best and succeed. I would Rovers if they were in the conference but I would wish them to succeed and be top of whatever they are doing. Just like I would love my daughter if she were to work in McDonands, but I will do everything I can to get her to a good school and hope that she does well.

The club REALLY need to question the use of Roschilds if true!!:angry:

IF he has been found out then im glad for the clubs sake, but IF he hasnt got the cash then Roschilds need sacking, especially after allowing them to check our accounts in detail!!

How long ago was the beginning of the current financial crisis? Like, 3 years?

Do you believe that it happened over night? Like one day, Bear Sterns woke up and realized it was bankrupt?

Or do you think there was quite a bit of financial shenanigans going on combined with a rose tinted view of the future to perpetuate their 'solvency'?

My point, of course, is that auditing isn't as easy as you seem to think it is.

Too right Hughesey - if true of course.

I presumed that because he had been allowed to look at our books the financial side was not an issue.

Now I'm not an accountant but when I read the WGA accounts for the first time last night they looked to me like the sort of scam document the organiser of a pyramid or MLM scheme might put out to lure mug investors in.

I really hope Rothschilds had something other than that which persuaded them to recommend he be allowed to look at the books.

Come on though, we've raised our own doubts from doing a bit of googling, always balancing it with the hope that professional people might know things we don't. If it turns out we did a better job then something is wrong, or we need better jobs!

Well, Premier League level is the level that Jack Walker put us at and also the level we've operated at for what, sixteen of the last eighteen seasons.

Not saying I wouldn't still go if were relegated but forgive me for not wanting to drop down from the level we are at now.

Would you still be saying "Well it doesn't matter if we get relegated to Div 1" if we were in the Championship and so on and so on?.

Seems a bit petty to be playing the 'I'm a bigger fan than you' card. There's 121 of us on here at 25 past 12 on a week night discussing the possibility that someone has heard something about a takeover bid.The one thing that unites us all on here is we love Blackburn Rovers!

For me the main annoyance is not that we won't be taken over but moreso that I think money was held back in the transfer window. Now we are left with no cash and no real upgrades.

We wouldn't have got any money even if the takeover wasn't happening IMO. Or what we would have been given would have been so small that affording the 1.5M for Popov would have been a stretch.

I honestly don't think money was held back because of any proposed takeover. The Club repeatedly stated it was business as usual.

It was just that we couldn't get anyone in on our non existent budget.
