God only knows who LT have been talking to, Kamy .... that leaves a big and...........
roversmum Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 She'll have to buy the LT tomorrow to find out more, then.

nicko Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Julia Thiem has contacted me, she says the latest comments on Lancashire Telegraph have not come from her, she says that she has not talked to anyone. God only knows who LT have been talking to, Curiouser and curiouser. Big Sam surprisingly broke ranks with his comments today and I think he knows a great deal about what has been going on. He was also clearly showing his frustration at all of the daft talk in August about millions coming in. Tuesday and Wednesday were meant to be the decision days on this takeover move - Syed's people were over. That was why I expected a statement - either way. However they have gone off again. Read into that what you want to. And there is NO approach to the Premier League either for any Fit and Proper Persons test. I think this is going down the pan. However I do not expect anyone to hold their hands up and say as much. Rovers need to keep the impression of a lively competition to buy the club and Syed will be putting his latest line together. By the way, whatever happened to the BBC denial?
imy9 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 So julie is talking again, is the deal dead or are talks still ongoing? This is getting stranger by the minute, have the trust been concluding a different deal with a separate party?
ada2020 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 That's a killer blow in my opinion then, I hope this whole sad sorry scenario goes away very soon now. How pathetic, I wouldn't hold my breath for these other supposed "buyers" making a move either most likely more smoke in my opinion.
John Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 I think this is going down the pan Is that what you have been told too?
Guest Kamy100 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Unfortunately she would not divulge anything about the rumours. Positive though is that they are starting communicate again!
Balwer Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Would we? Without Sky all the other clubs we'd be competing with would have less money and so we wouldn't need to spend so much to keep up with them. The players would be a hell of a lot poorer though. Without Sky we'd rely on our other revenue streams, like gate receipts and merchandising. Sky makes up a larger percentage of our overall revenue than it does any of the top clubs, and more than most of the other clubs around us. The only thing I can think of that iamarover's finance friend can think found positive about our finances is that we are asset 'rich', with the players and Brockhall worth a fair bit more than the debt we owe. Meanwhile none of that is important compared to Kamy and nicko's current comments...
imy9 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Nicko the other party, is there any update on a name?
rovers_rob Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Curiouser and curiouser. By the way, whatever happened to the BBC denial? John Williams interview in the LET : We try to do our business in a business-like manner and ‘in private’ but it would be hypocritical to suggest there aren’t occasions when we use the media to our advantage. Are Rovers using the LET at the moment to make it out the deal is not dead ? My head is spinning !!
John Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Think if we did not receive the Santa Cruz, Warnock cash that summer, we were facing problems - Sam said it was a necessity to bring money in so we could get our finances in order.
den Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Unfortunately she would not divulge anything about the rumours. Positive though is that they are starting communicate again! Did she sound bitter Kamy?
brian_gallagher85 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Unfortunately she would not divulge anything about the rumours. Positive though is that they are starting communicate again! My gut feeling is that that may be the last you hear from her though I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your stellar work throughout the last few weeks Kamy.

By the way, whatever happened to the BBC denial? You seemed to hint that you knew a bit more about those rival bidders than had been reported in the press. Anything you can tell us? Is it true there was another Indian investor who (allegedly) was worth more than Syed (allegedly) was?
Guest Kamy100 Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Andy Cryer saying the quotes are from WGA's London based PR firm who are dealing with the takeover. First that I have heard of them.
rebelmswar Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Andy Cryer saying the quotes are from WGA's London based PR firm who are dealing with the takeover. First that I have heard of them. Was she brusque with her verbiage when she passed this on Kamy, or is her manner still the same?
