Vinjay is having a right moan on the LET website about this story.. Ive pasted what he has said on there.

As for the BRFCS site they seem to be trying to break a record for the phrase "little old blackburn." As if referring to Rovers as a small club isn't insulting (and totally wrong as well as insulting to Jack Walker) enough they need to stick the knife in just a little deeper. Just saw the member there Roversmum (obviously has kids with that name) is the latest to come out with such rubbish. I hope she does notutter such poison in the presence of her kids. Of course its not just here I've lost count of the number of times that member "hughesy" has repeated this insulting phrase in the last few days.

If BRFCS members are reading this you can tell the likes of Roversmum and Hughesy (as well as the others) what I've said. Not that it will make any difference running Rovers down is probably the only joy they get from their miserable hollow existence.

Bring him back! He was the only poster that could be counted on to make me laugh.

I think (hope) Vinjay has got the wrong end of the stick, the 'little old Rovers' tag stated by posters on here refers to the fact that the media likes to portray the club in that way and enjoys belitiling the northern town clubs.

The facts prove we are not a 'small club'.

I do wonder with Vinjay whether he was around prior to Jack's money ?

Some of my best memories aren't just of winning the Premiership (something I never thought I would witness) - but of cold days with only 6k at Ewood watching Brotherston mesmerise the opposition right back, Garners goal against Liverpool in the FA cup, Jim Arnold pulling off unbelievable saves.

Jack dreamed big - but I don't think the town ever really got fully behind that dream (not a dig at anyone, as I know there are lots of reasons).

Reality is (whether Vinjay likes it or not) we are a small town in a big city league - but while we remain I will forever be proud of what the club continues to achieve. And I will continue to dream that lightening can strike twice - and that an owner as generous and passionate as Jack will decide to put his money into Rovers.

Of course the town did, we became and have stayed the best supported club in the country by population. But in those days the town was absolutely buzzing.

Really - when we won the EPL - they had to lock out people from the game to celebrate winning the EPL (free entry btw). Where were those people prior to the Newcastle match - or even the season after ?

As I said I am proud of what a small town club has achieved - and as you say we have one of the best % attendances in the country - but for a number of reasons we still haven't provided the club with the level of support necessary to fulfill Jack's dream for Rovers.

Nicko, any truth that big sam could be about to walk ?

Makes him sound like a 10 month old baby taking his first steps.

is it just me or have the majority of news stories about Rovers in the past few month followed this pattern:

Official Source: Something good might happen.

Posters: Yay!

Poster with inside information: Actually I'm hearing it might not happen.

Posters: What? Why?

Official Source: Conflicting information

Poster with inside information: It's bad.

Posters: Oh no!

Poster with inside information: Or it might be good.

Posters: Thank God for that.

Poster with inside information: Actually no one really knows. It's confusing as hell.

Posters: ???????????????????

Official Source: It's over, nothing happened.

Posters: ##&($&(#^%$ !!!

Sam: I'm seriously angry.

John Williams: We are slightly disappointed it didn't happen, but chin up, no worries, carry on!

Perhaps Vinjay would like to explain in his rantings in the LT where I am running Rovers down?

I said

Its not the allegations, tgm, but the arrogant, bordering on rude, smug way he went about it that particularly wound me up. He was plainly enjoying every minute of bringing little ol' Blackburn's new Messiah down. Unfortunately it seems that possibly some of his statements may have been true but a girl can still hope for the odious Goldberg's comeuppance can't she?

Obviously he doesn't understand English. I was obviously referring to Goldberg thinking of us in his patronising way of 'little 'ol Blackburn' of course it isn't the way I think of them, why on earth would I? Hughesey obviously uses the phrase in the same way, i.e. to highlight the views of those who wish to patronise and degrade Rovers.

Of course, the phrase could also be used in a fond, loving way (you know, that means you love something)it is not meant in a derogatory manner at all.

I would suggest that you are the one with a miserable hollow existence, to make such unpleasant and unnecessary comments about me, and I'm quite sure dear Jack would be quite upset with you for making them.

You might like to look up 'love' in the dictionary. It would give your life a whole new meaning.

Because Blackburn is a town of 100000 people surrounded by other clubs. We went from average crowds of 9/10000 to 25/26000 in a 2/3 year period.

Even in the relgation season we were regularly pulling in home support only of 23000 a game- if we had have had a sustained period at the top there is no doubt we would have continued to grow. Inroads were being made across the region- the Lancashire Evening Post had as much Rovers news in it as PNE in the mid to late 90s.

You just cannot compare us in the mid 90s to when big city clubs today have success, we just do not have a large enough hinterland.

I hadn't seen this, but some people are still interested where Syed had made his money. Well, he had huge paddyfields in the southern part of India. He is also involved in fashion in Italy.

Although WGA do only directly employ 11 staff [as Goldberg claimed], WGA apparently has a network of more than 3200 "consultants, associated and reliable partners".

Did your source say why?

He didn't specifically say, but from what I can gather we aren't the only ones in the dark about the whole situation. It would be a disaster for us if Sam was to walk. Even though I was far from impressed at his appointment, he really has done a terrific job for us.
