doctorryan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Cleveland Browns are also an NFL team, but you're right they havent played in a Superbowl in recent times. The Cleve Brownies have NEVER played in a Superbowl. Sorry B4E, but as a Steelers supporter I want to make sure that that is perfectly clear. They're our Burnley.

CrazyIvan Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I know your rivalry is older, but don't Browns fans care more about the Bengals now? Pittsburgh is closer, physically, than Cincinnati (130 miles v 250 miles) which is why Steelers v Browns is still the rivalry.
Iceman Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Have we been sold? Clearly not! Have we been sold? Clearly not! Have we been sold? Clearly not! Oops, didnt mean to repeat myself.
Amo Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Have we been sold? Clearly not! Have we been sold? Clearly not! Have we been sold? Clearly not! Oops, didnt mean to repeat myself. What are you trying to say?
broadsword Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 A little less conversation, a little more action please, All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me PS: How many years have the club now actively been looking for a buyer?
Iceman Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Sorry Topman. Clearly ive lost the plot. A little less conversation, a little more action please, All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me PS: How many years have the club now actively been looking for a buyer? Since Uncle Jack died
Iceman Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 any new developments regarding a takeover Nicko? Im still trying to figure out the trustees though, and who is actually doing a good job keeping the club in the position it is. Surely if the Trustees are not putting money in, then they are not the ones doing a fine job, but John Williams is the one. So in reality we should really be moving on from the Trustees, but how much do they actually want for the club?
modes98 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 So in reality we should really be moving on from the Trustees, but how much do they actually want for the club? Very easy to say but there is nobody out there who fits the profile we need who has the money and they don't come along very often.

Surely if the Trustees are not putting money in, then they are not the ones doing a fine job, but John Williams is the one. So in reality we should really be moving on from the Trustees, but how much do they actually want for the club? Is this the same trustees who not so long ago converted some of our debt into shares ? Who also provide low interest loans ? The truth is - they have supported Rovers since Jack passed away. I don't think we should easily dismiss the backing we have had previously - even if they currently don't give us the £3m per season they did previously. I am also sure that, for bankers, the backing of Jack's trust fund helps to make us a more attractive proposition for any short term loans - and a far better risk overall.
JC4LAB Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Whelan should sell up Wigan and come to the Rovers but how much is he worth nowadays
Sandiway Blue Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Whelan should sell up Wigan and come to the Rovers but how much is he worth nowadays No thanks,I`d rather be skint than have that gob-on-a-stump here.....
deryck guyler's spoon Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 No thanks,I`d rather be skint than have that gob-on-a-stump here..... A bit harsh that Bacup. Fair enough, Dave Whelan likes to have his say but he is a man who genuinely loves Rovers and Blackburn.
nicko Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 If any of the usual well-informed suspects have heard anything new on this topic could they PM me in a hurry? I don't want to post anything on here just yet.
gumboots Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 OOOOOH! this could be interesting Nicko? Cue frenzied speculation and 20 pages of drivel!
Muddboy Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 If any of the usual well-informed suspects have heard anything new on this topic could they PM me in a hurry? I don't want to post anything on here just yet. Crikey, I don't think I could be any more intrigued. Go on Nicko, spill the Heinz.
Paul Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Cue frenzied speculation and 20 pages of drivel! People seem to have been remarkably restrained.......
Iceman Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 People seem to have been remarkably restrained....... give it some time Paul, i dont think they noticed yet
Majiball Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 People have noticed its just there not sure whats going on. My monies on the Trustees offering a discount of £250,000 for every goal england score this summer on our £25,000,000 asking price, a cool £1,000,000 should England win!!!
Craigman Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 People will have noticed but have decided not to get any hopes up for a sale, as we are very slow negotiators and know that nothing will happen soon.
gumboots Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 People will have noticed but have decided not to get any hopes up for a sale, as we are very slow negotiators and know that nothing will happen soon. Never stopped speculation before.
andyroversmad Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Without any imformation there's not much we can talk about.
