Cleveland Browns are also an NFL team, but you're right they havent played in a Superbowl in recent times.

The Cleve Brownies have NEVER played in a Superbowl. Sorry B4E, but as a Steelers supporter I want to make sure that that is perfectly clear. They're our Burnley.

Fair does Doc - I suspected that was the case but couldn't be bothered to look on Wiki.

I know your rivalry is older, but don't Browns fans care more about the Bengals now?

Pittsburgh is closer, physically, than Cincinnati (130 miles v 250 miles) which is why Steelers v Browns is still the rivalry.

any new developments regarding a takeover Nicko? Im still trying to figure out the trustees though, and who is actually doing a good job keeping the club in the position it is. Surely if the Trustees are not putting money in, then they are not the ones doing a fine job, but John Williams is the one. So in reality we should really be moving on from the Trustees, but how much do they actually want for the club?

Very easy to say but there is nobody out there who fits the profile we need who has the money and they don't come along very often.

Is this the same trustees who not so long ago converted some of our debt into shares ? Who also provide low interest loans ?

The truth is - they have supported Rovers since Jack passed away. I don't think we should easily dismiss the backing we have had previously - even if they currently don't give us the £3m per season they did previously. I am also sure that, for bankers, the backing of Jack's trust fund helps to make us a more attractive proposition for any short term loans - and a far better risk overall.

If any of the usual well-informed suspects have heard anything new on this topic could they PM me in a hurry?

I don't want to post anything on here just yet.

Crikey, I don't think I could be any more intrigued.

Go on Nicko, spill the Heinz.
