Silencio Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I'd be wary of anything involving Chris Nathaniel. He's a total blend.
Ozz Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 "Blackburn are priced at around £25m, which is good value for a Premier League club with a solid squad, modern facilities and no debts." Cheers Alan!
patrickvalery Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 This Chris Nathaniel seems to represent some big names. http://uk.linkedin.com/in/chrisnathaniel Excuse my ignorance on these things, but i assume he would simply be the negotiator between the consortium and the club? I'm not sure how these things work. But i thought Ray Ranson was involved in a similar deal with Coventry yet ended up being chairman. Ditto with Quinn at Sunderland.
Backroom trueblue Posted June 6, 2010 Backroom Posted June 6, 2010 I notice Vinjay has already had his two-penny worth in the comments
imy9 Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Not much revealed in the article, aside from the groups. Nicko- Have either party made any progress, do you feel either will purchase us?
John Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 There could only be one person making a comment after the article too.
Alan75 Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I didn't realise Blackburn is full of Indians! It's not the Indians it's the cowboys you have to worry about.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 After reading the article and a few of the comments on here, is it wrong for me to hope we stay as we are for the time being? Hopefully Nicko can reveal a bit more about each party but neither of the two groups fill me with confidence.
broadsword Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 how many more years of this tedious and depressing "Oh look, someone is looking to buy us ... and now they've disappeared." nonsense will we have to endure?
MarkBRFC Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 "Blackburn are priced at around £25m, which is good value for a Premier League club with a solid squad, modern facilities and no debts." Anyone else find it amusing that James Milner is valued at being worth more than our entire club?
47er Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Anyone else find it amusing that James Milner is valued at being worth more than our entire club? Tranmere Rovers are valued at 15M!!
Guest Kamy100 Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I believe that these groups have been talking to Rovers over the last week, however the HUGE concern between the trustees is that each of these consortium's involve a number of people and there is uncertainty as to where the money is coming from and crucially if they are able to comply with all the terms of sale set down by the trustees. Rest assured, if there is any doubt about these people then the club will not be sold to them. There is a lot more I would like on this matter but am not able to do so because it could get some people into trouble.
thenodrog Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 how many more years of this tedious and depressing "Oh look, someone is looking to buy us ... and now they've disappeared." nonsense will we have to endure? decades I hope.
thenodrog Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Anyone else find it amusing that James Milner is valued at being worth more than our entire club? Following that theme through our squad value could quite easily outstrip 25m! GO..... Then there's the possibility of developing Ewood park and the car parks into housing, and all of Brockhall too........ Alternatively I could immediately flog as many players as I can, and as contracts for the rest run out over the next couple of years replace the rest of the squad with keen amateurs like Keef, take the inevitable 90m parachute payments and then simply return to GO! ........ Hang on.... where's my chequebook!!!! But wait! There's sure to be a catch.... I'm certain that the current owners would insert a clause to prevent such shennanigins..... just as John Moores bound the new Liverpool owners with a 'don't mess with the clubs finances for at least 3 years' clause.
ewoodpo Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I didn't realise Blackburn is full of Indians! We have a very large Indian population in Blackburn. Unless it's somebody like Ambani brothers we should be very carefull . I'm sure the trust won't sell out to any tom dick or harry.

thenodrog Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 We always hear about the 30% Pakistani population of Blackburn, no-one ever mentions the Indians, I mean ever! The accepted term which can cause no offence to either nationality and encompasses every religion is 'IndoPak'. However quite a few severely misguided souls on here have attempted to label even that as a racist term.
