31 years  :D Get in.

Shocking second half - dunno why when we're ahead we always have to play poor in the second half. Referee gave us a massive helping hand - especially with the Brown incident - but even so we (just) deserved the win.

Wasn't pretty, but 3 points none the less! Top half of the league is superb for us this year.

Almost let them back in it but held on, back 4 did a good job, once again for Phil Jones, can't drop the lad at the minute!

Dunny was a bit quiet but Gamst did a lot of running and broke up play well, not his usual job but did well. Thought Roberts started well but faded a bit in 2nd half, Di Santo won't make a Chelsea player as he isn't making it as a Rovers player.

Overall 2nd double of the season, over our 2 closest rivals!

Very happy we got the 3 points can't ask for much more!

Thank god that match is over.

Firstly, a great win. 41 points, top half of the table, and we've beaten the dingles twice this season. But my god, did we make that last 45 minutes hard for ourselves. We made hard work of a team we should have buried long before. It's easy to see why we've only won one on the road.

Our first half performance was acceptable, our second was not. We're very lucky Burnley are a p1ss-poor team - a better team would have made us pay for such a mundane second half display. We couldn't keep hold of the ball, we let them run at us, we pulled back too far. Burnley are so terrible that they only had one real chance to equalise, and that was it. Eagles looked good when he came on, but he had no support from his team-mates.

Referee today was awful, but in our favour. Dean was our 12th man.

I thought Roberts did his job very well today. The back four were solid for the most part, Jones had another good game. Salgado was also solid, despite his lack of pace. Olsson was at the heart of the few chances we had... i'm not going to comment on his dive, but he was unlucky not to score another two and should have done better and buried his third chance.

N'Zonzi had a few dodgy moment, looked tired and inexperienced. MGP was terrible, both from set-pieces and his 'shooting' attempts. Brown needs to be replaced, could have easily got a red in that second half. Diouf looked very slow today. Dunn was anonymous for 90% of the game. Di Santo when he came on was dreadful.

We never make it easy for ourselves, do we?

Still, it's a win, and down the dingles go.

Also, Wade Elliot is a pr1ck.

We were quite poor, but Burnley were awful.

Did they actually create anything other than the ball across the box (with the two closest players offside) and the cross-shot from Cort?

We had quite a few decent opportunities, a bit of luck with the ref's decisions, but were overall the better side.

Dunn tired early, but I don't suppose he would have been too happy with Sam had he been taken off.

Terrible set pieces from Pedersen. The one he got right at the end almost ended up with a goal, too bad he didn't do that with all the others..

Solid defence. Jones was great again.

Midfield was up and down. Played it around nicely at times, but struggled a bit as the game moved on, maybe because Dunn wasn't really there.

Oh well..away win..the double over Burnley..top 10..not a bad afternoon :D

Pretty boring rivalry this isn't it?

Burnley are a disgrace, absolutely no fight or urgency, and their complete lack of desire has made a mockery of the entire derby.

Easy win, should have been more, let's see if the cup draws pit us together again over the next decade or two so we can reaffirm our blatant superiority in every area of our football club.

Fantastic win. We have a decen shout of getting tenth this year. Pretty awful game. Some points:-

Defence was excellent, although Givet is too static for a full back. Jones and Samba brilliant.

Pedersen and Dunn had poor games. Pedersen wasted the ball regularly, Dunn didn't seem to touch it penalty aside. Diouf was only slightly better.

Roberts played very well. Di Santo was utterly useless when he came on. Might be his last appearance for us?

Olsson was streets away our best attacking player.

Brown made one massive mistake that we were fortunatet to get away with. Otherwise did okay.

If Olsson had his finishing boots on we could have won 4-0.

ps. If I was a Burnley fan I would be devastated right now. Until Eagles came on they were probably the worst prem team I have seen us play in years. Hundereds of mistakes, hugely disorganised, no cutting edge. And they were at home too. Look dead certs for relegation.

3 points...on the road. Thank you very much.

Ollson was probably our best player. Made some great runs and was flagged (incorrectly) for offside a few times. It seemed like every chance fell to him.

I'm not sure that we have a striker of the 'Allardyce type', ala Kevin Davies. For me, Roberts struggles up front alone. It doesn't help that he rarely manages to trap a ball to his feet. I'd rather see Kalinic, but understand the logic of throwing in the old head for the derby.

At the end of the day we got the three points and that’s all that matters.

I think we were very lucky at times; the Olsson dive, Brown incident and that Burnley are a dire side who couldn't do anything with the final ball. If we were playing like this against a top half side, Stoke or a Sunderland I think we would have been punished.

The defence was pretty solid and Olsson was by a mile our best midfielder. In attack Roberts showed for me why he is a bench player, Dunny didn’t offer much, N’zonzi’s passing once again was poor, Pedersen is absolute rubbish and Diouf was really poor today.

Most of our play was hit and hope to Roberts and more often than not he had nobody near him, or nobody running in front of him to recieve the ball. Olsson tried to get into positions but where was Dunny, Pedersen or Diouf?

Happy for the three points but ignoring the obvious bias towards Rovers and the fact we were playing the old enemy i was disapointed with the performance.

It wasn't a penalty but you know what, it wasn't offside either so it all works out and the more controversial, the more painful for the hill trolls so it's all goooood. :D

But then you have their penalty shout vs our goal over the line vs Brown's handball!

Shocking, wasn't it? Burnley didn't look at all interested in this game.

It wasn't a classic, but the performance doesn't matter. The natural order remains untouched. :)
