1. Every fan arriving en masse so long before KO presents a vastly different scenario than people coming in in dribs and drabs as is usual.

2. 1st job was to ensure safety so well done Plod for that. Common sense prevailed. It sounds now like the CI is fearful of reprimand because of incidents surrounding that common sense decision. We should be praising not villifying here.

3. The beer was in plastics.

4. SO WHO WAS THE KNOB WHO HURLED ONE AT THE BEAST? How ###### thick was that? Harmless maybe but inconceivably stupid. A level of intelligence somewhere alongside that of an amoeba! If you know who it was shop him and anyone else that threw one at anybody else. It's this level of stupidity which has brought about the current stipulations. These stringent rules will never be relaxed whilst such brain dead imbeciles manage to place one foot in front of another and walk through turnstiles.

Nobody likes a drink more than me but the folly of having leaving parties at home and in pubs from very early morning coupled with smuggling vodka / mixers onto a coach is pathetic. Who the hell wants to drink at that time and before a match? The fact that so many do is reminiscent of animals that live in flocks. I can only assume that the thrill is because it is forbidden.

I had a superb time watching the match on TV and celebrating in the pub afterwards. I would have hated to miss anything by watching through an alchoholic haze and having to pee onto a wall whilst paddling in somebody elses spent vodka red bull.

There are benefits to not drinking. I can't at the moment until I have an operation because of an issue with my stomach. The two cubicles I am assuming were the toilets that were destroyed must have been done during/after the game because I used one just before kick-off. As for the urinals, I don't know how anybody could destroy them.

12 charged... Mostly looking like Burnley fans.

Over the line or not? Notice the posts are not straight either!!

personally i say not over the line but it's so much harder to tell when they can't even put the posts up correctly. this is no exaggeration when i say that turf moor is the worst stadium (as a whole) i've ever been to. worse than grimsby's, worse than being stood up at burnden park with restricted viewing (since at least there was enough room for us), worse than oldhams and prestons. if burnley get promoted again they should be made to sort it out, it is nowhere near premiership standard, and now they will have parachute payments they have no excuse in not making changes.

from what i saw on clarets mad one guy ran to the front after the goal and called diouf all sorts of names regarding the colour of his skin. i wouldn't be surprised if it was him since i'm sure they said he got arrested for it.

as for that description it covers a lot but the chances are it's just shouting racist abuse, it's just they make it a wider description so they don't have to make even more laws. as far as i'm aware.

I hope not. It's childish behavior and inter-town rivalry is no excuse for vandalism.

You assume that all those that took souvenirs are the ones that tore them out of their place.

You are wrong.

They still retain a large debt and the parachute payments they receive will hardly cover the current wage bill as they drop deeper and deeper down the tables.

Please don't quote fantasy as fact.

Fact 1: We have no debt

Fact 2: Current wage bill is less than 14 million and will drop due to relegation clauses (yep I accept relegation as inevitable now)

Fact 3: Parachute payments for the first 2 years are now 16 million (more than our current wage bill)

Fact 4: We will also get 2 years at 8 million if we don't get promoted again.

So relegation will be far from disatorous - in fact I think we are better postitioned financially for relegation than any club has been in the history of the Premier League. Where we get into conjecture is only about 'where all the money has gone' and only upon release of the accounts will this become clear but a fair chunk went to covering losses from the previous season(s) and directors loans.

Our biggest worry is we let the current incumbent spend our money in the summer - he, rather than lack of funds could condemn us to consecutive relegations

The power of the shot has probably knocked the bar back (temporarily) , and not overly taut strings that hold the goal frame.

I could not go on Sunday, but would have done so if my circumstances had been different. It makes me think though, about my non appearance and whether if I had have gone, would events have unfolded exactly the same? The theories that surround such Certainty philosophical arguments are many and complicated, but Determinism suggests that every event, including human cognition, behavior, decision, and action is determined by an unbroken chain of events.

Moreover, fatalism tells us that free will does not exist, and the lack of a baby sitter during the Derby could not have been avoided, meaning, therefore that history has progressed in the only manner possible-to wit David Dunns spot kick sending the Tree Dwellers into a spiral of demise, from which only a resurrection of the theory of Theological Determinism, where the intervention of a God, is the only thing that can save them from the drop into The Coca Cola league.

Police are coming out with some corking lies there!

They also instructed people to smoke inside as well. I and a few others were having a quick tab outside pre-match and was told to take it in with me and that it was fine to smoke inside the ground?

FACT 5 - If Newcastle & West Brom go up, then their parachute money gets split between the rest...so you may get more their!

FACT 6 - Sponser money will go up next season as NPower take over

Fair play to you for coming back on here as promised longsiders but, it's with comments like these that, every now and then, you let your guard drop with regard to hooligan activities. I remember you posting on here after the 2005 Ewood FA Cup game saying that Burnley fans walked into Blackburn unopposed and what a welcoming place it was, or words to that effect. In other words you were gloating that there were no Rovers fans prepared to have a go. Whilst you may have mellowed a bit now, I get the impression you were a bit of a naughty boy twenty years or so ago.

You get the wrong impression - but like most who followed football back then I know plenty of 'lads'. It was a different era and though I didn't participate I certainly viewed it very differently to how I do today.

My post was pointing out that we have had no issues with the 2 clubs who were mentioned, both of whom have a reputation for support that can turn violent. On the other hand PNE and Rovers, 2 clubs not noted for having the same violent following cause extensive damage.

As for the posts about any of our players you would/should look at. It is a short list.

Chris McCann - he's a midfielder I rate very highly and will be surprised if Coyle does not bid for him in the summer.

Kevin MacDonald - Not quite the finished article but a midfielder I think could with the right coaching be at least mid table Prem standard.

Tyrone Mears - Been excellent for us at right back and I'd be surprised if we don't see quite a bit of interest from the likes of you/Bolton/Fulham etc - maybe even the promoted teams.

Fletcher - Not 100% on him, perhaps needs to be more clinical but in the right team with the right support just maybe.

One other possible is Paterson - I'm not 100% convinced but I think he can do a job at that level, well he has for us to be fair. Maybe not a top half player but certainly worth a punt for a team around say 12th as a target

If I was Sam then I'd only realy be looking at McCann and maybe Mears, if anybody.

mccann looks like a good player and the only person who would make rovers' bench other than fletcher (but i'd rather us sign somebody who didn't look lke charlie brown with brain damage and was more clinical - we have enough players who don't score enough). after mccann's injuries this year i'd be cautious though.

mears isn't good for a struggling team with his confidence and poor premiership record, and isn't good enough to be a starter for a top fourteen side. he'd be good enough for 17th-15th if he had the bottle.

mcdonald has found his level as hit and miss for a soon to be relegated side

paterson has also found his level but i think he'd better suited for the championship.

Yes, I was having a fag before going through the turnstiles and was told "you can go in with it, we don't want people hanging around outside".

Classic...

Bin Laden has just sent a new TV message to prove he is still alive saying that "Burnley were useless at the weekend"

British Intelligence have dismissed this saying that it could have been recorded at anytime in the last 30 years!

The dive for our penalty was a bad one. I didn't worry about it too much at the time - such is human nature - but the more that time passes the more I feel bad about it. I would like to apologise to any Burnley fans reading this site

i specifically said to my dad after the first game, such was their cockyness that they would beat us at turf moor, that i would love it if we won by one incredibly contentious goal and that it would help send them down. i seem to have got exactly what i wanted.

and it feels great

This is getting a bit ridiculous. To say the Chief Inspector is bending the truth is an understatement. I've posted on this article (yes, my name is actually not Crazy or Ivan ;)). Have your say because having Rovers fans accused of smuggling bottles of beer up is completely wrong.

Think you'll find the smuggling of beer onto the ground was after halftime when it wasnt allowed, before the game the police had to make a call which was the right one, to clear supporters from under the cramped concourse so that more Rovers supporters who were sat on the coaches at Townley waiting to come into the ground could safely come in.

At the end of the day I thought the Rovers fans were extremely well behaved, in great vioce with a wide range of songs making it a memorable experience, one that will be remembered for a long, long time.

The Dingles are never going to live this game and this season down such was their humiliation.
