Balwer Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 It would be a good opportunity to see how Basturk does in a Premier League encounter. How has he been doing in the reserves? Has missed the past few, been injured. Unsure when he's due to return.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Ah right. I thought I haven't heard his name mentioned much. When he first played in the reserves, I kept reading some positive reviews. Maybe it's a case of him impressing in training when he's back to full fitness and hoping for a few appearances in the final few games and then impressing enough for a contract for next season.
Backroom trueblue Posted April 1, 2010 Backroom Posted April 1, 2010 come on POMPEY,half of rishton is threatening to turn out And your point is?
Backroom Tom Posted April 1, 2010 Backroom Posted April 1, 2010 I think he said he'd streak down Rishton high street if we finish top 10
Backroom trueblue Posted April 1, 2010 Backroom Posted April 1, 2010 I think he said he'd streak down Rishton high street if we finish top 10 Ahhhh thank you ...... and errr COME ON POMPEY !!! (shudders at the thought of Waggy wobbling through Rishton )
bobbarton Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Does anyone know if anyone is showing t game on TV Ta
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 The game won't be shown live on English television.
begresko Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Anybody going to take a punt and guess the Pompey starting 11? Could be a really interesting team sheet for both parties. My Guess Ashdown Finnan Ward Mokoena Vanden-Borre Mullins Basinas Brown Ohara Hughes Piquionne Rovers Robbo Salgado Samba Nelson Givet Diouf Pederson Nzonzi Olsson Dunn Di Santo
robborover Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 13 fit players according to Pompey site Come on Rovers finish them off!
Hughesy Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 No Belhadji tomorrow either....shame O'Hara is fit! If we win & Hull win - pompey go down tomorrow
Nelsta Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I'm going for the usuall Rovers charity roadshow. 2-1 Pompy.
Presty On Tour Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I think we will win but it will close. I can't remember the last time we won 3 on the spin.
47er Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Anybody going to take a punt and guess the Pompey starting 11? Could be a really interesting team sheet for both parties. My Guess Ashdown Finnan Ward Mokoena Vanden-Borre Mullins Basinas Brown Ohara Hughes Piquionne Rovers Robbo Salgado Samba Nelson Givet Diouf Pederson Nzonzi Olsson Dunn Di Santo I didn't realise Robbo was fit again, I must have missed that. 2 points--why would Kalinic not play? And doesn't Jones deserve to keep his place? Otherwise I agree. We are safe so Sam could experiment but Its more in his nature to try to ensure the winning run continues.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2010 Backroom Posted April 2, 2010 I don't expect us to win purely because all signs point to a win and I know Rovers. I'm going to go for a boring 0-0
SergioPeter89 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Rovers Robbo Salgado Samba Nelson Givet Diouf Pederson Nzonzi Olsson Dunn Di Santo Dont think that Big Sam will play a loan striker, when he can use one of his own players in Kalinic.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2010 Backroom Posted April 2, 2010 Just read that Basturk is in the squad, I hope he figures as he is running out of time to impress and I still think he could be good for us
2k. Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 me mate is a pompey fan and the only way i could get him to have a pint on the result is to let him to have the draw and a 1-0 start bad times, hope now we do 'em 2-0 at least!
philipl Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Grant is a good enough manager to have whatever players he can put out really fired up for this one. Sam is good enough to make sure we don't fall over this potential banana skin. Just got a feeling there could be at least one farcical goal in this game.
Amo Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I'd line up something like this: Bunn Salgado - Samba - Jones - Givet Hoilett - Emerton - Nzonzi - Olsson Dunn Kalinic
chaddyrovers Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 My team for today is:- Robinson Saldago Samba Jones Givet Nzonzi Dunn Diouf Bastruk Olsson Kalinic Subs:- Brown, Nelsen, Grella, Pedersen, Hoilett, Roberts, Di Santo
Balwer Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Getting ready to head off now. Fingers crossed we keep up the recent strong performance and make it three on the trot today. COYB!
