mogster Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Matt Smith, the new Doctor Who, is a big Rovers fan: http://www.itv.com/granada/dr-whos-in-town11981/ I know it's trivial but it may get us a bit of Kudos with the kids. It's good to have an upgrade from Wayne Hemingway and Lee Mack. Are there any other celeb fans I don't know about? (not Jack Straw) Doctor Who is Blue and White, He Hates Dingles!

Backroom Tom Posted March 31, 2010 Backroom Posted March 31, 2010 You're missing the greatest celebrity fan of all: I'm here to support The Blackburn Rovers
accyrover Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Matt Smith was interviewed on North West Tonight and he said he's a massive Rovers fan. Apparently his dad was from Darwen and his Auntie Maureen still lives there. Tony Livesey is now officially backing The Cybermen ! Accyrover
brightonrover Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Yes, heard the Doctor is a Rovers fan. Lee Mack the comedian/comedy writer is too
rovgers Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Yes, heard the Doctor is a Rovers fan. Lee Mack the comedian/comedy writer is too I don't think Lee Mack is a Rovers fan. When I went to school with him, he used to support Liverpool because his mum came from there!
Antgrad Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I don't think Lee Mack is a Rovers fan. When I went to school with him, he used to support Liverpool because his mum came from there! Definitely is, said so on Danny Baker Show the other week. Moved to Blackburn when his parents separated and supported them ever since. Often goes to Ewood.
AggyBlue Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 You're missing the greatest celebrity fan of all: OK I'll be the first. Who's that TCO?
Balwer Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 OK I'll be the first. Who's that TCO? How old are you Aggy? If you are between the ages of 10 and 45 then surely you will know The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, longtime WWE 'wrestler'.
rovgers Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Definitely is, said so on Danny Baker Show the other week. Moved to Blackburn when his parents separated and supported them ever since. Often goes to Ewood. I've not seen him since the late 80's and he supported Liverpool, he must be one of the post Jack Walker supporters. He moved away from Blackburn when his parents split up.
bellamy11 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Shawn Michaels has to be the greatest celebrity 'fan' of anybody, anywhere at any time.
AggyBlue Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 How old are you Aggy? If you are between the ages of 10 and 45 then surely you will know The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, longtime WWE 'wrestler'. Wrong side of 50. I've been to a couple of wrestlemania events at the MEN with my youngest but still don't know any current wrestlers. I can remember the likes of Mick McManus, Jackie Pallow, Kendo Nagasaki and my favourite Billy Two Rivers:lol:

Used to watch them on a saturday lunch time, on World of Sport and then off to Ewood club with my Dad before the Rovers!!
Backroom Tom Posted March 31, 2010 Backroom Posted March 31, 2010 Yep shawn michaels once said he was a rovers fan when interviewed at a game back in the day. In reality he probably doesn't follow football at all. Incidentally he retired on Sunday. Legend. I'll take my geek hat off now
thenodrog Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I can remember the likes of Mick McManus, Jackie Pallow, Kendo Nagasaki and my favourite Billy Two Rivers I'd heard he was Dad to a local guy made very good in the fashion world.
Mike Graham Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 sorry, but who is Lee Mack....I have never heard of him
vintageadidas Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Steve Pemberton is a big Rovers fan! He is the co-writer of the League of Gentlemen and the main character in Benidorm!
sparkspakespoke Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Shawn Michaels is a gimp of the highest order uh oh someone is going to hear the sound of sweet ching music . . .
the original david brent Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Steve Pemberton is a big Rovers fan! He is the co-writer of the League of Gentlemen and the main character in Benidorm! correct. a proper rovers fan, he has been on football am, seen him at ewood a few times. Another rovers fan is the welsh rugby player shane williams, i read an interview with him and he said he supported rovers. Also another "celebrity" rovers fan is max from brookside. Plus maggie thatcher is our honorary vice president. I saw the new doctor who on 'north west tonight' declare he was a rovers fan, fair play to him.
JonnyH Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Bizarrely I read somewhere that The guy who played Alf (married to Ailsa) in Home and Away years ago was a rovers fan!
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Carl Fogarty. Motorbikes. Probably the only great sportsman who we can say is a Rover Shane Williams is a Blackburn fan? Wow. Never saw that coming. Cracking player.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I thought Carl Fogarty supported whoever won the league. When I've heard him interviewed, he seemed to be the most pessimistic Rovers fan on earth (even more than some people on here!) yet loved to talk up Man Utd.
