Grabbi Graeme Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Jim Bowen is a comedian who presented a darts based quiz show in the 80's called Bullseye, more recently starred in Phonix Nights with Peter Kay
LeChuck Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Steve Pemberton is a big Rovers fan! He is the co-writer of the League of Gentlemen and the main character in Benidorm! That's the coolest celebrity fan going, other clubs can't match that. Well, pre Benidorm it would have been the coolest, but I try to pretend he never did that show.
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2010 Backroom Posted April 2, 2010 Take that back lechuck benidorm is awesome. It features nicko as a swinger what's there not to love
Iceman Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 One of the most famous Rovers fan, and one of the most passionate is Isgak Abrahams.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 One of the most famous Rovers fan, and one of the most passionate is Isgak Abrahams. I thought he was a Burnley fan?
koi Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 There was a bloke on brookside who supports Rovers, I seem to recall he played in a celebrity rovers team.
Iceman Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Lol Tim. If he supports Burnley, then i will have to kill him myself.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 There was a bloke on brookside who supports Rovers, I seem to recall he played in a celebrity rovers team. Steven Pinder aka Max Farnham
Plastic Head Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 If he went to t'turf last week he may have seen some familiar faces.
adopted scouser Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Steven Pinder aka Max Farnham One of my customers, and he is indeed a Rovers fan.
old darwen blue Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Steve Pemberton is a big Rovers fan! He is the co-writer of the League of Gentlemen and the main character in Benidorm! Just googled him, born in Blackburn. Didnt know that.
john.leigh Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I know he's a bit boring, but Jack Straw must be mentioned....
darwenblueswearehere Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Steven Pinder aka Max Farnham Steven was a decent amateur footballer and I played against him a couple of times in the early 80s. Think he played for either Rishton or Cutwood Rangers. He'd already been in Crossroads at that point so he got 'targetted' obviously. Took it on the chin though, fair play to him.
AggyBlue Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Took it on the chin though, fair play to him. Yeah, the mark is still there
