Majiball Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Take a look at the photos from the Graz game. Be thankful we can only have one sponsor on our shirts, not two on the shirt, two on the shorts and one on the socks like they do. Think of the money. Short and Sock sponsors sounds like a plan to me.

AggyBlue Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Think of the money. Short and Sock sponsors sounds like a plan to me. How about gloves, hair bands and neck warmers too
cn174 Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Think of the money. Short and Sock sponsors sounds like a plan to me. We find it difficult to find 1 sponsor, let alone 5!
Majiball Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 We could surely get a few hundred K a year for having some companies name on them. We can't have struggled that badly to get Crown, are they not paying 1.5M a season? Aggy, Chimbonda doesn't play enough for glove advertising to be effective. Why not though we all moan we don't have money and yet things like the 39th game get knocked back on here (5 million more a season), advertising on other parts of the kit and so on. If it means more money to spend on transfers then I can live with it.
cn174 Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 I'm pretty sure it's not allowed (yet) by PL rules. If it was, Man United's kit would resemble an advertising hoarding I would expect.
Majiball Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 You can have it in Scotland and in the football league (can even have a rear shirt sponsor). Think you maybe right on the prem, but surely it could easily be changed.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 People complaining that premiership footballers get paid too much money but would like to see more sponsorship on the shirts...
tony gale's mic Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 People complaining that premiership footballers get paid too much money but would like to see more sponsorship on the shirts... Nail. On. Head. It's currently against the PL rules and if it suddenly became legal every team would had it, our competitive advantage would therefore be non existent and all the extra money would go straight to the players' pockets.
Hughesy Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 More money from sponsorship would only help widen the gap & save the clubs that are struggling with debts, such as Mancy United or Liverpoo - no thanks - let those keep struggling!
Ben-2000 Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Don't like the idea of us having sponsors on the rear of shirts. It IS against PL rules anyway, but the FL allow it, the dingles have a sponsor on the back of their new shirt and it makes it look even worse than it is already Another way of doing it... Spurs looking for seperate shirt sponsor for cup games
alexanders Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I can't understand how anyone can dislike the collar. Its retro and looks great!
