Blackpool are hoping to obtain a safety certificate for maximum corwd of 175000 which will allow an away following of 3000 supporters.

It all depends on the new structure being passed as it is slightly bigger than the one they planned for - currently it will only allow 2000 fans in it. The current structure is exepcted to be removed completely within days with the new base for the planned structure in place by the end of the month.

They havent as yet decided on a temporary roof structure and the stand will be similar in structure to the one in the away end at Fulham.

Just hope if there is no roof, we play them Septemberish !!

A brand new 5,000 seater [semi-permanent] stand up and running by the 21st August, capacity will rise to 17,000 a mix of home and away supporters, and media/press area.

Replace all the old seats currently in west/north stands.

Patch up all the rust on west/north stands.

11,500 ST holders already processed and still another 2,000 to get through, all 13,500 will be accomodated next season.

A brand new multi million pound training facility in Lytham.

Completion of the brand new supporters bar in the south stand.

New pitch now being seeded and with under ground sprinkler system.

just edited to say work starts tomorrow Sunday, and penalty clauses in place if the stand is not completed by August 21st.

Dont clubs have to leave a certain percentage for general sale?! At 13,500 ST holders, the away following isnt looking too big!!

9,000 ST's have been processed with demand expected to be 13,500 (as reported today on Blackpool's official site).

Apparently they are giving 2,500 to away fans which I find odd considering they can just give 10% of the capacity (1,600).

Have it on good authority that the temp stand is now gone and work begins on the new stand this evening (or had). Maybe some of our Blackpool based fans can have a look.

Also informed today that away followings will be maxed out at just under 3000 fans.

The company that are building the stand have imposed self failing penalties if they miss the completion deadline.

Looks like Blackpool really have hit the jackpot and good luck to them.
