FFS get over yourself! I don't agree with half of the stuff you post, but it's your opinion and I respect that you care enough to come on here and post it. Just because people disagree with your opinion doesn't make them any more right or wrong than you. The whole idea of a forum is for people to come, vent their spleens, discuss with other fans their various viewpoints. If you can't get your head round this then you should just delete your account and choose another sport. Football is all about opinions and the discussion and debate of them - this forum isn't supposed to be Rovers love-in with all negative comments banned. If you want that kind of board perhaps North Korea's might be modded to your satisfaction?

QFT! It's a discussion forum, if everyone had the same opinion it'd be a pretty boring place!

I thought we played ok after the start that we had. They were winning the midfield in the first half, all those who moan about playing 1 upfront need to realise ok , we scored two after going 4-4-2 But we also conceded 2.

Disappointing result.

I thought that both teams were poor and that a draw would have been a fair result. We were very direct and in the first half it worked, particularly towards the end of the half, there was choas in the Everton box on numerous occasions and we were unlucky not to score.

The second half, Everton started the better and seemed to be dealing with balls in the box better. Then we get a wondergoal from N'Zonzi. Poor defending allows Everton to take the lead, we then get another superb goal from Roberts and look the more likely to team to get three points. However, at the death more defending lets in Cahill to score the winner.

Sam is never ever going to win over some fans (there were plenty of moaners in the Jack Walker Upper today). If he gets results then people are happyish, but when things don't go well then people will moan about the style. I agree that at times it is soul destroying football, but then when you look at the bigger picture (our squad, the lack of financial resources) you have to say that Sam is doing wonderful job, teams like Everton have spent millions and yet we still compete with them. We do not have the players to play sexy, fast flowing football and we do not have the resources to purchase them.

spot on, we were good for a point

arteta lucky to be on the pitch

pound for pound we are the champions

still makes me sick losing to those dirty scouse rats

Can a mod delete me off this forum permanently please? Putting these people on ignore just isn't enough. Spam and constant personal attacks on the manager and various players is just uncalled for and I'm sick to death of it. So please, delete me because I don't want to be able to come on here and read these utterly depressing, absurd comments ever again.

As for Dan, and anyone else with his attitude, you can keep calling yourself a BRFC 'supporter', but you are not a supporter. Spending the entire match criticising the team at every opportunity does not constitute SUPPORT. What it constitutes is hatred and d1ckheadedness. There is such a thing as CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. What you provide is not anywhere close to that. I have no idea why you bother because clearly you should be spending your time a bit better than this.

Are you related to Sam? I have said all along that survival is the main thing. We have shown we can play much prettier football and get results. I don't hate Rovers, I've been a fan all my life and spent a damn lot of money following them down the years. Football is about enterainment at the end of the day and I'd like as much entertainment as is possible, whilst staying up. Even though we have proved we can play nice football with the players we have, your mate Sam refused to try to do that.

If same were in charge of Barcelona he'd have the. Playing awful football, he is trying to reinvent the wall football should be played

anyway, I AM allowed to have an opinion, if I'm not happy i am going to say so. Did you see the game today, it was awful ugly football, the goals were the only good bit. If you don't like people disagreeing with you, then see you later. By the way, how much of your hard earned money have you spent following the Rovers? I feel for the fans watching this crap. Unfortunatly due to now being a daddy I've got to give football a rest for this season. Getting a season ticket next season will be a struggle, it's an expensive day out when you don't live on the door step of ewood and if I'm not going to be entertained I thi k the money woukd be best spent on nappies and clothes for baby Jack :-)

I've noticed there's a bunch of posters on here who get very catty if anyone dares to criticise the fare on offer in any way. It's like having a bunch of schoolgirls trying to pull your hair.

Right result today for me. We didn't deserve nothing out the game, and surprisingly it was our defence that let us down. Nelsen was rash in his first challenge and it was a clear penalty. I think he got out muscled from Yakubu for their second. Then Jones in the last minute, let Yakubu go way too easily and he pulled it across for a simple tap in.

We had no energy in the squad today, midfield was dire, and Kalinic once again was left stranded up top without any support.

The 2 goals were a bonus and at the time I thought we were lucky to go home with a point and keep our unbeaten record intact, however, we switched off in the crucial stages of the match, and it cost us a point.

A top half finish is looking unlikely now. Disappointing day.

Mark Hughes had very little money to sign players with, but we still managed to play a good brand of football, without losing our combativeness. Obviously he had the likes of Bellamy, Bentley and Santa Cruz, but the rest of the players still managed to play to his system. Hopefully if Sam manages to bring in some better quality players next season, we can play some better football, which would be more productive and not so dependent on just lumping the ball into the box and hoping for the best.

Right then, been for a walk, had my tea and had a cold lager. Just watched a bit of the WBA/Boro game and am now settled watching my "European favourites" from Barcelona.

After having a lie in today for once - I cant recall the last time I slept past 0800hrs on a Saturday morning - I got out of bed to glorious sunshine, a bit surprising really as I expected an ash laden morning with the sun blocked out and hell on earth as the world comes to a standstill following yet another eruption in Iceland.

However, when I got to the kitchen the sun was shining, the dog was happy and looking forward to the game I settled for a full English, oatmeal bread but reneged on the coffee simply as I thought a couple of beers would be the right thing, just to celebrate the weather.

I read the back pages and watched the first half of the mank derby but all my thoughts were on Ewood and Everton.

On arriving at the ground, we got a couple of pints and watched as manure sneaked a 94th winner at City courtesy of scholes the goal. I really didnt give a toss about it but felt rather smug at the thought of my city supporting pals being gutted at being doubled by your ultimate enemy. I quickly thought of our burnley brethren but the thought was gone as quick as a flash.

Cue our Wendy. When she opened up with the team news and she mouthed the word "Andrews", my day was ruined before she finished the sentence. At that single point I knew we were going to lose, I knew the game was going to be negative and I knew we were going to see some sort of backlash from the support.

In trying to sunmmarise a turgid first half = negative line ups produce negative football.

Everton lead 1-0 courtest of a penalty, it was a stone walled pen at that.

Rovers had no drive, no thought, no ideas in fact they couldnt get anywhere near the Everton players YET we still had several half chances to score goals whereas Everton had their penalty as their only shot on target.

Rovers midfield was overrun and overloaded. NZonzi was doing the job of 3 players, Dunny was clueless without any assistance whilst MGP didnt help by nancying around like a playboy. I cannot even begin to describe what Andrews was supposed to be doing however he did manage to get a shot on target.

Rovers just were not in it. Looking at the bench, I realised SA had got it all horribly wrong. On the bench we had Hoilett, Basturk and Grella. All good solid midfielders and ALL with a much bettere reportoire than Andrews.

As the Rovers trudged off at half time, my discussions with my best mate were oly interrupted at the news burnley were 2-0 down and 75% certain for the drop. We could not agree on the way forward however, even our Keith Andrews love in posse around us agreed he had to come off.

When they re-emerged for the second half I couldnt beleive it when Andrews walked out. Just what had gone on in the dressing room ? How could they not change anything ?

Anyhow moving on, Rovers huffed and puffed. Two changes, MGP off to be replaced by Roberts and then Andrews finally withdrawn for Hoilett.

Rovers had a little more impetus up front and then hey presto. Bang Bang. NZonzi from nowhere trook a pass some 30-35 yards out, wiggled his hips and moved inside before unleashing a screamer that flew into the net. We have not seen a goal like that since the halcyon days of Mr Shearer and co. The young Frenchlad was immersed in a sea of players as he took the plaudits. I will tell you this, the goal is similar to one scored by a certain Patrick Viera many years ago for L'Arse, lets hope its the onset of a glorious career for him in a Rovers shirt.

Someone commented on Andrews possibly throwing a water bottle at a fan for being abused, well it was probably aimed for me in the JW Upper but as we all know he couldnt hit a barn door with a banjo so its not surprising he hit a fan in the lower sections of the stand

Enter the Yak, and a soft goal is given away by inept defending. First touch sees Everton regain the lead. Almost immediately, the second quality goal of the day saw a Rovers equaliser smashed home by our Jason, lets not forget the assistance by Niko who once again ran his socks off but please do not miss MOTD it was a cracker.

Even at 2-2 you still sensed a Rovers defeat (well I did) as the defence wasnt AT ITS NORMAL ROBUST self. far too often we backed off and it was because of this that Everton took the game with the 3rd goal. As Rovers retreated, a slip in the back 4 (Jones) let an Everton player to the byline and as the ball came across there were 1 or 2 Everton shirts that could have scored but cahill got it first, game over 3-2 to Everton. For the 3rd time this season we lose a home game on a Saturday 3pm kick off WITH ANDREWS ON THE PITCH !

Robbo 7 - only had to pick the ball out of the net 3 times.

Givet 7 - solid game.

Jones 7 - another good game but had to acquit himself today.

Nelsen 6 - at fault for the second goal.

Salgado 7 - did very well.

NZonzi 7 - great first goal but so desperately needs some support.

Dunn 6 - never in the game in the first 45 improved after the break.

MGP 4 - clearly thoughts are elsewhere.

ollson 7 - another good game from our left sided player.

Andrews 1 - I gave him 1 for the nasty kick on Neville other than that he was a complete disgrace in the blue and white shirt.

Kalinic 7 - forages alone and works his socks off, needs a second striker and we saw how effective he can be linking up with JR.

subs

JR 8 - great finish

Hoilett 6 - didnt get in the game.

di Santo 6 - too late to make impression.

Tactics from the off were wrong. Too negative for my liking and this is why we lost the game.

We saw how positive Rovers can play so how or why we dont start the game with those tactics beggars belief. We were crying out for a midfielder so why leave the likes of Basturk and Grella on the bench whilst perservering with that clown Andrews ?

Before we hear the same old boring claims where KA is concerned ask yourself this question. What does he bring to the game ?

He brings chaos into an organised side. He cant head the ball, he can only pass sideways, he cant tackle and he simply watches the ball leaving us wide open. Its the same old story and I am going to send an email asking if SA can answer my observations about him. Having him in the team means Rovers are playing 12, 13 if we include the referee.

I am so down that Rovers ruined my day today. Anyhow, moving on, t'dingles lost and it looks like Rovers wont struggle next season looking at wba and newcastle (both teams will struggle) so we have something to be positive about.

Thats me for weekend a few more beers tonight then I am off fishing to calm down.

I cant take anymore of watching Andrews wearing my clubs colours and I beg others who may have the unfortunate thinking of having his name on your shirt to get rid. He is one player who should join Zurab, Brown and MGP through the exit door.

All aboard to Wolverhampton.

And we are all free to comment on their opinion. Disagreeing with somebody is not the same as denying them the right to air their views. Dont get sensative as soon as the majority of people on here say that you're wrong.

I just think that those who suddenly come on here as soon as we lose and preach that everything is going wrong, that Sam isnt the right guy etc etc, are just getting far too carried away. I dont particularly enjoy watching Sam's brand of football, but its worked well enough so far. We're safely in midtable and thats as good as we could have expected realistically from this season.

Its just getting boring to hear how the football isnt attractive enough when in reality that really isnt the most important thing. If we could guaruntee safety each season then fine, eventually we'll want to see some pretty stuff being played, but for the time being, with the squad that Sam has largely inherited, im satisfied with where we're going.

But this is the match thread, not the season to date thread. Until the last 20 minutes, and 4-4-2, we were awful, after that it was a good game and we scored the 2 best goals of the season. ergo, in this match, the manager got it completely wrong in his starting line up and the first half tactics. If we can't comment on this in the match thread than what's the point f this messageboard?

Nelsen 6 - at fault for the second goal.

I know he's not the tallest but Salgado has to take some responsibility for the second maybe Nzonzi too it looks like that from the highlights. I thought Salgado had a good game today, probably our best defender, I wouldn't say Givet was solid though, we weren't singing the Ole's ;) partly to blame for the first but Nelsen, what was he thinking diving in like that? I'm usually the one singing his praises but that was a rash challenge. Jones was good, shame about the third goal, I just think it was one of them days. We all have our off days.

I do hope that's tongue in cheek.

No, I'm sure some people would argue we would have done better defensively with Samba, yet we conceded 3 goals @ Goodison when he played.

Getting set upon by a group of posters every time you air your opinion is wearisome and boring. Who said it's the majority of people on here? I wouldn't say that at all. Certainly no more than 10. That's hardly the majority now, is it?

You've just stated that we're in mid-table (good performance given the available resources), yet the football isn't entertaining.

That's what a lot of the posters have been saying, just before they get the Big Sam rebuttal machine bitch-slapping them. More moderately expressed, yes, but not that far apart.

SAMBA likely to miss out! Nelsen to return - that worries me! He is a liability!!!

Is he heck. Your constant negativity towards Nelsen is offset a tad by anything else to do with Rovers being utterly brilliant.

But what happened to the defence? It looks like they're back to normal after a few weeks of doing well - another 3 goals conceded.

See above

Absolutely gutting to lose like that today! I thought the boys showed great character to come back twice, but we missed Big Chris today. Nelsen showed he isn't really up to the job anymore - at fault for two of the goals. I love the admiral but his time is most certainly drawing to an end. Certainly as a first-teamer.

Iv been saying it for months

Negatives:

Nelsen looking past it

I think today highlighted how well Samba has been playing recently, the back unit had looked organised in recent games but today without Big Chris it was all over the place.

Today was spoiled by 2, possibly 3 things.

1 - Samba being out & replaced by useless Nelsen

2 - Keeeeeeef waterboy Andrews

3 - MGP - However we dont have many to replace him yet!

useless Nelsen

Other than the penalty how can you say he was useless? All our defenders made mistakes, watch the highlights and you'll see he couldn't do anything about the second goal, Nzonzi and Salgado weren't close enough to whoever got the flick on, Arteta turned Givet for the first, Nelsen shouldn't have gone in like he did, big mistake and the third goal, I'm afraid to say but Jones had a lapse in concentration. Every defender made at least one mistake.

I support as decent, solid prem club, working on a tiny budget against some big spenders, we have constantly battled to punch above our weight and have been proud and honest, and have a selection of predominantly bargain players. Im no andrews fan but he gives it all, and to be honest its all I want, I like going to the football, i like the ups and downs but its just a game, a friend recently lost a young son, he can moan, you are moaning because we lost our 3rd in 29 at home to an overated team who have spent 65 million in 2.5 years. if pathetic c##ts like you stopped coming tomorrow then it wouldnt be too soon.

What happened with Andrews when he was substitued?

It looked as though he threw a water bottle at a fan.

No doubt some idiot was provoking him.

My observations from the BBE, it looked like a girl was giving him a piece of her mind as he made his way to a seat in the subs area. I didn't see him throw anything but i did see her being escorted from the ground shortly after.

I also agree with others that on the scum meter, Everton fans are now pushing the mancs very hard for scummiest.

Not a good game of football.

First half terrible. Itty bitty football. On 34 minutes we actually passed it to a blue and white shirt six times. We didn't come close to that figure again. Nowhere near.

Second half better. Two wonder goals but they glossed over a poor performance.

Crying out to go 4-4-2 which, once we did, we looked a bit more dangerous.

Everton are a passing/footballing side but matched us in the physical side of things all day. Every f*kc*nig Morten long throw (and there were loads) was dealt with comfortably.

Everton take only their second long throw of the game and the Yak puts the ball away without fuss. Game over.

Everton wanted it more than us, played the better football, continued to come forward after each equaliser and deserved the win.

We are moving in the right direction. Let's hope that next season Sam addresses the style of football we play. It doesn't have to be all pretty football, more of a mix of passing it and mixing it, because watching this stuff, at times, is like watching paint dry.

For me apart from the daft tackle Nelsen was at least up to the same standard as Jones.

Givet is class but he has a lot to answer for on the penalty as well, gave Cahill too much time and space.

-As much as Jones looks a good un and he is trying to keep it simple he boots it out too often when under little pressure as seen 3 or 4 times today.

-MGP is taking some stick but his balls into the box where good today and created numerous chances.

-Dunn was way off the pace again as well.

-Nice to see Niko get a chance to play with a partner and showed how effective he could be in a 2 given the chance
