I would go for :

Robbo

Salgado-Jones-Nelsen-Givet

Hoilett-Dunn-Grella-Olsson

Kalanic-Di santo.

Nelsen if Samba's injured.

Hoilett and Olsson on the wings for a bit of speed and two up front .

Not too shabby, but if we do go 4-4-2 (which we won't) I'd prefer Roberts with Kalinic. Di Santo has been frozen out and has no future at the club.

As a season ticket holder this will be only my 2nd game, the other was the dingles

A 3pm home Saturday kick off hooray

Everton I find boring so expect 3 v 3

Settle for a 1-0

Even at our prices that's an expensive season ticket......

Right Cheers, so is that just half of the stand ? I wouldnt mind sitting in the DE on saturday but not able to purchase online!

They mess about with the online planner for some reason... You can by in the Darwen End but you will have to ring up. Just tell them that you are unable to buy online and they will waive the booking fee.

I am a ST holder in the Riverside but wierdly when I log on to OneRovers and click on the Everton game it tells me I have 2 seats reserved in the Darwen End (the same thing it does when it reserves you season ticket for next year)

Excellent preview, thanks for that.

With our Premiership status secure I'd like to see Sam take a few chances and go all-out to make this a less cagey more open performance than we've seen in recent games. Give Hoilett/Diouff and Olssen 90 minutes on the wings, push Dunn up alongside Kalinic leaving Grella and N'Znonzi to hold the midfield. Pedersen and Emerton on the bench - they've both looked off form lately - and keep Andrews out of the stadium altogether, and I think we're looking at a point at least.

Robinson

Salgado Samba/Nelsen Jones Givet

Grella N'Zonzi

Hoilett/Diouff Olssen

Dunn Kalinic

As I have lived in Australia since August 08, this fixture was the last home game I went to on the 02/02/08, and was a pretty poor game 0-0 in the end. Seem to remember Andy Johnson had a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside, even though we had 2 men on the line.

Would like to think this game will be a bit more lively, Rovers are on a good run of form at the moment, and Sam has made us difficult to break down, now all we need is a bit more going forward. I'd like to think we will play 4-4-2, and actually try and win the game, and state our claim for a top 10 finish.

Robinson

Salgado Jones Samba Givet

Diouf N'zonzi Grella Olsson

Dunn Kalinic

Use Grella to mark Arteta out of the game, intrestingly enough however, Arteta is out for the game against Villa tonight, if he is still out Saturday I would dropp Dunn into Centre Mid for Grella and bring in Roberts to play upfront. I fancy us to win this though 1-0, Dunnto bag the goal.

----------Kalinic-----Roberts

Olsson--------------------------Diouf

----------Grella-------NZonzi

Givet----Jones------Samba----Salgado

Time to go 442 I think. Dunn and Pedersen were ineffective against United, we need to create more up front and create a bit of space for Kalinic. Bringing in Roberts is the best way to do that for my money. Also Diouf is one of our better players at the moment so should be starting.

Olsson should be given the licence to get up there with the strikers as much as possible. He makes great runs and is a real goal threat.

ROBINSON

SALGADO - SAMBA - JONES - GIVET

HOILETT - GRELLA - NZONZI - OLSSON

DUNN

KALINIC

Nzonzi and Grella gives us a solid platform in the middle, with Hoilett and Olsson to provide pace and width, which makes a change from Diouf and Peds who break down more attacks than they start.

From the article it suggests we're not looking to get him on a permanent deal.

If so, I don't see the point in playing him ahead of giving Hoilet/Doran/Liganzi a chance.

Maybe we are considering offering him a short term contract next year, in which case it would be good to see how he does. I think he would be a good option to play in the hole behind the striker.

My team for Saturday would be:

Robinson

Salgado Jones Samba Givet

Hoilett Nonzi Grella ollsen

Disanto Kalinic

Subs

Brown

Nelson

Dunn

Diouf

Roberts

Basturk

Pederson

(Emerton has been v dissapointing for me)

My Team on Saturday would be:

Robbo

Chimbonda Samba Nelson Givet - Simply feel Jones is in need of a rest and Pioneer will be a v.tricky customer for Michel (Who deserves rest)

Diouf Grella Pedderz Ollson

Dunn

Roberts

This would give Chimbo a do or die to see if we can keep him for next year - started of so well and went down hill rapidly :( Pus gives much needed rest for Jones, Nzonz and Michel, Niko hasnt been upto much recently even though playing alone and I feel with Distin, Roberts would be the best option available..

Kalinic, hoilett, diouf, FDS can be on bench if we need them. I am going for aq 1-2 defeat here there very well organised and i think they make nick this one :( hopefully not tho..

Rovers 1 (roberts) v Everton 2 (saha and Billy)

Roberts score 1st

Why the obsession with resting players, we've only got 4 games left!

Go for the strongest team, give Basturk a run out. If he turns out to be good enough then we'll find room on the wage bill for him, people are reading too much into the finances part of the LET article.

............. Robinson

Salgado Samba Jones Givet

.......... N'Zonzi . Grella

.. Hoilett . Basturk . Olsson

.............. Kalinic

No point playing Di Santo with 4 games to go, he's not staying beyond next season. Might as well give Hoilett a run out and see if he can polish his final ball a bit, nobody else is very good out there anyway.

Only

You are correct, but it is used every week by a hard up local, my bit for supporting rovers

But I am not renewing as its pointless now, I hate the m6 on a Sunday so with so few Sat 3pm kick offs I ll pick and choose my games

Jagielka's late og has canned Everton's Europa hopes but their performance at Villa Park underlines what a tough match we face on Saturday.

Everton are a good team, and in great form at the moment. Assuming he is fit, Saha always scores against us.

Draw at best but probable 2-1 defeat.

1)So you think Basturk with all his zero minutes of first team action should be starting.

2)Dunn+Basturk=most lightweight and injury prone centre mid pairing in history.

4) Player of the season?

Probably Johnny Heitinga as he’s done a fine job for us all season be it in midfield, right back or centre back.

5) Unsung hero?

Heitinga, he barely gets a mention but has been a top player for us all season. Not sure we’ll be able to keep hold of him without European football though.

Glad he went off injured last night then :tu:

So we leave them out just in case they get injured? I wouldn't exactly call Dunn lightweight either, MGP yes but not Dunny.

If Sam thinks its time for him to have a go then so be it, if it doesn't work then plan B will be on the bench.

I'd love to see Basturk start v Everton.

If you want the most injury prone pairing in history try Reid & Grella.

Cahill will be a danger in this game with his head(Last 11 goals all headers) and Saha always seems to score against us - If we score first we'll be ok and Im changing my prediction and goin with 2-1 rovers.

2-1 roberts and Dunn, Saha.

COYB - TOP 10 ;)
