Sandiway Blue Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Notts won toss and elected to bat. 28-5 69-7 now, hopefully another win for Lancs in the bag!
Neil Weaver Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Don't get too excited yet. Weren't Yorks 45-8 in the first innings of the last game in reply to three hundred and odd from us - and our first innings lead ended up being less than a hundred. We'll see if it was a marvellous bowling performance at the end of our first innings.

only2garners Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 LV County Championship - Division One Lancashire: 179 & 8-0 (1.0 over) Nottinghamshire: 203 & 233 (64.3 overs) Close Lancs need another 250 to win. Would loved to have gone tomorrow but gotta work Was there yesterday but can't get back today. An excellent day's cricket, although a win looks a very tall order for Lancashire right now. It is pretty rare that a side wins by getting the highest score of the game in the last innings. It's clear that both teams have misread the pitch as both opted for 2 spinners. In Notts second innings yesterday Keedy and Kerrigan bowled 4 overs between them whilst the three seamers did everything else, including Glenn Chapple bowling 25 out of 64 overs, the last session with a clear limp.
Blue n White Rover Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Great opportunity missed by Lancs today. Let's just hope confidence doesn't dip and they can continue the way they have been playing prior to this game!
Sandiway Blue Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Wow! stunned by this result! They really had a chance to make a statement as to their title aspirations, but failed to deliver. They can`t be dropping points in this manner if they want some silverware come the end of the season.
