greggyk Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 This to me...suggests we need to toughen the F up...no wonder we're so pathetic away from Ewood...not good enough to let teams 'play' around us..
sussexrover Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Just a thought - Do they still allocate fair play places in the europa cup? If so, and if Fulham won the competition this season - would it be possible that we could qualify via the fair play position?? I can see the media choking on their prawn sandwiches already..
sussexrover Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Aah fair enough - I should have checked that really.
Backroom Tom Posted April 25, 2010 Backroom Posted April 25, 2010 Yup the offical one contains nonsense such as behaviour towards officials in which United inexplicably end up with near top marks. Shambles.
Stuart Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Yup the offical one contains nonsense such as behaviour towards officials in which United inexplicably end up with near top marks. Shambles. The official one
Backroom Tom Posted April 25, 2010 Backroom Posted April 25, 2010 I cant fathom how United score higher than us in behaviour towards the referee when Ferguson constantly criticises them and their players ala Gibson at Rovers hound the ref constantly. Same with Arsenal having the highest score
DeadlyDirk Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 The official one Hasn't been updated in nearly a month, I wonder who are likely to get the spot? Surely not the Dingles!
rovers1995 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Lets hope that Fulham don't win the EUROPA League then, otherwise Burnley will get through due to the fair play league
gumboots Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Lets hope that Fulham don't win the EUROPA League then, otherwise Burnley will get through due to the fair play league It's all a load of rubbish anyway because who rates things like respect to opponents etc. That's not a quantifiable thing like red and yellow cards. Even those are not really an indicator of how the team plays because refs don't send off players they should i.e. Arteta last week and do send off or book players they shouldn't. Sooner a European place is not given for this twaddle the better.
ewoodpo Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 No team should be allowed to qualify using this method. Fulham got through on fair play and that's pathetic. If they go on to win the competition then the Dingles could qualify. If UEFA want to give out places then it should be on league positions. If it wasn't for this stupid rule Fulham wouldn't be in the competition. Qualification for any tournament should be on merit not crap like this. No bloody wonder it's a devalued competition.
DeadlyDirk Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Fulham are there on merit for finishing 7th so fair play to them and I hope they go all the way, England didn't get a Fair Play place last season, it went to Scotland, Norway and someone else who I can't recall. Citeh I believe qualified through it the year before.
sparky12 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 The official one im still disappointed with the boys effort this season, we should be at least bottom 3
daveoftherovers Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 im still disappointed with the boys effort this season, we should be at least bottom 3 LOL More like it though, the un official one really worried me, get stuck into Wengers lot I say!
47er Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Rovers third worst for Positive Play. but 11th in the only list that counts
