1864roverite Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I missed the goal as the swtream went down, nearly whooped the dogt when Stelling announced Rovers are 1-0 up
niggit Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 It's Bolton we need to score 5 more! Thought it was not me, i said we got 10th, not 9th. Think they are getting confused
imy9 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 What an amazing achievement by Sam and the lads if we can hold on to 10th, truly amazing.
Balwer Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Considering how most of our fans wrote us off on this board before the game then this has been a fantastic effort, particularly starting two debutantes away to a full strength Villa side.
BuckyRover Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 It's been a great season. Well done to everybody at the club. I'm really looking forward to next season.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Well done Dunne! 8-0 Chelsea now! Unbelievable! Ashley Cole with a cracking volley. Unbelievable tekkers!
jim mk2 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Can someone describe the look on Martin O'Neill's face when the goal went in.
Bobby G Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 YESS YESSS YESS TOP 10 BABYYYYY... Delighted with that. Sam changed it to 3-5-2 in the second half and we dominated it. Immense performance which guaranteed an extra 2.25 million pounds for us!
niggit Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Unbelievable tekkers! Some tekkers are good, some tekkers are bad
Ossydave Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 26 goals conceded by Wigan in 5 visits to London for Wigan this season they just said on SSN, truly awful!
1864roverite Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Exactly the same as Gordon Browns Jim this weekend !!!!
Backroom Tom Posted May 9, 2010 Backroom Posted May 9, 2010 Excellent result a superb end to the season well done Sam and the boys, a run out for some lads and tenth in the bag.
CrazyIvan Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Did anyone take my suggestion and put some dosh on us winning 1-0 away at Villa? Brilliant to finish top half, fantastic season. I KNEW we'd do it today.
Hughesy Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 2 Sunderland sending offs - hopefully we start with Sunderland at home next season Burnley 4-2 up - King For England??
yankrover Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Fantastic result. I also love that it was two of our youngsters who created the goal. Great job by Sam and the team. 10th is quite an achievement considering how poor we were last year and that we have no money.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Well done Big Sam, Blackburn and everyone connected with the club. A brilliant finish to the season.
Amo Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Ha! I have no idea why people were worried about blooding debutants against Villa - our away form has been trash all season. Great achievement for the club! Finishing in the top 10 could play a decisive part in the summer.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 6 points from those last two games seemed laughable.
Ossydave Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 It's been a great season. Well done to everybody at the club. I'm really looking forward to next season. Kind of a shame it's ended because we've started to look pretty bloody solid, next season can;t come quick enough
Backroom Tom Posted May 9, 2010 Backroom Posted May 9, 2010 Did hoilett, linganzi and hanley do ok? Obviously nothing outstanding but as long as they didn't look out of place it's good enough
JamieUK Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Excellent result-hope the board back Sam now n give him some money for a few quality players
vyeo Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Impressed with what I saw of Linganzi. Could be quite a pairing with Nzonzi in the centre next season (which could mean, no keef, yay!). but on a more serious note, Linganzi looked quite a natural with the ball at his feet. And our young lad Hanley, very solid as well. *Forgot to add, very well done to the team this season. I still dont like the way Sam goes about playing football, but to finish in 10th position is a remarkable achievement with our lack of resources and uninspiring team. Hopefully we can push on next season.
