What about Raul Tamudo? Weren't we once linked with him? Can't see him playing much for Espanyol (if he is still there), should be fairly cheap, experienced and a decent player, although a little older now.

Seriously if people think Raul is past it then Tamudo certainly is, we'd be better off with Heskey.

Size 14 I believe.

Heskey isn't the worst in the world, but we don't need another goals shy striker.

I don't disagree, just thought it was the perfect oppurtunity to get that clip on the board.

Heskey can't even do a step over, ROFLMAO. I know 7 year olds who can, it says all I need to know about his footballing ability.

I know you don't rate him Den but Kalinic has shown if the ball is played to his feet he can hold it up and lay it off to other players, of course they have to support him to make it work. We play a more back to front aerial game, if that's the way Sam wants to play we might as well get a 6 foot 5 + big man that is great in the air.

He does do better with the ball to feet. It also gives him the advantage in gaining posession as the defender is behind him, so wouls make his life easier. These punts up field always mean the defender is the favourite and since he's not drogba really doesn't stand a chance.

Trouble is we need someone in the middle that actually has a touch and can thread a ball into him.

Hopefully "the waterboy" can point the way forward on this matter. <_<

Eider Gudjohnson to reunite with Big Sam?

That could be an option, if his wage demands aren't too high.

Word up here is that Benjani was training with Newcastle and they got rid after 2 days, unlikely to pass one of Sam's 'tests' hopefully.

KLOSE...but no cigar.

Klose enough to be from Germany.

Aristide Bance.

All the scouting work will have been done.

Link with him again yesterday, strangely enough, denied by Mainz today in the daily Bild.

4.5m euro mentioned.

Worth at least a stubbed out cigarette. ;)

Felipe Caicedo joining Rovers ;)

Is that why you changed the Wiki entry? Well unless someone else has the same IP Address as you ;)

Wiki. ;) Felipe Caicedo is to join Blackburn Rovers once a medical has been completed, for £1.5 million on a 3 year contract after agreeing personal terms with the Premier League team.

Wouldn't mind it being true mind you. He is a good little player.

Never mind 'little player', remember him scoring against us at Eastlands a couple of seasons back and he took his shirt off right after scoring, the guy is STACKED!!

Ahh here you go. If I remember rightly it was a tap in at the far post, hardly a goal that warranted a shirt removal (and booking)

I was hoping my little wink gave it away but damn you computer geeks checking IP's!

Anyway, it won't be him because so far everyone has agreed it would be a good signing and Nicko said half of us will not be happy :P

i would mention a random name, but it seems im the only one who gets a ban for doing it? Oh well, ill be realistic, and say that i think it could be Beattie or Jelevic.

I think right now, i do not know any striker, who costs 2.5mill who will be banging in the goals... If i recall, Sam did say he wants a striker who scores goals, so i hope whoever this striker is, will be doing that.
