Majiball Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 The Klose pun makes me think of Podolski, though I think there's more chance of my mum playing for Rovers. What other strikers do Bayern have? Cough, who did we reject as a 14 year old, cough.

Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I'll go for Jelavić. Reportedly we've had scouts at several of his matches, but possibly more telling though is that he hasn't been mentioned in Nicko's 2 posts which mention specific names. Haven't see enough of him to comment on his usefulness.

The one that seems to be on the boil just now is more local.

LeChuck Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I wonder if it's any of Everton's strikers? They play 4-5-1 so having Saha, Yakubu, Beckford, Gueye, Anichebe and Vaughan seems a little excessive! Obviously neither of Beckford and Gueye as they've just arrived, and Saha is too important.
Dunnfc Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I was hoping for MIDO OR ANICHEBE. Mido is a Great player when under a man manager. Good feet and head. Going to be Nugent, Hooper or Heskey.
67splitscreen Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Hmm, how local is local? Are we talking in the same region (North West) or just the same country? Now that could be scary if he's from outside the Prem teams. I wonder if it's any of Everton's strikers? Anichebe has started all their friendlies I think, he's certainly scored in a couple, would be amazed if they let him go, with Saha being as injury prone as Grella, almost.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Its Yakubu Mike Parry, who is a big Everton fan and radio presenter on talkSPORT, said Yakubu was made available by Everton and being offered around. Could be a good shout there SergioP!
beerwins Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 It will be Benjani for sure, free signing, only wages to pay which would be covered by the 2.5 mill and he is available and has prem experience. I hope I am proved wrong but I just dont see us signing anybody else who can "hit the ground running" for the money we have.
vintageadidas Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Check the date... I was conned! It said on google 21st, then i look at the date and it is the 7th! My bad.
SergioPeter89 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Ngog? Cant see how Ngog can do a job for us...
Mr. E Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I have the Darth Vader NOO image ready to use. And I fear the chances I will not be using it are minimal.
Dunnfc Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Nugent? A loan from city or utd? Ngog? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnUFv6J2Q_k&feature=related
Bennisfromheaven Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 These are assumptions but i am playing poker tonight & im trying to read Nicko's tells Its a premier league striker target man good pedigree but over 30 all signs point to John Carew but there are one or two others that fit the bill!!
Drunx2002 Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I think Carew with Kalinic in the hole behind would be a half decent premiership strike force. Hope it is him! If Villa get big bucks for Milner, they may update their strike force and want to offload him. His wages may be high though...
