things are definitely moving...

just check out the latest update from chris nathaniel on his nva twitter

"Office buzzing with deals deals Team NVA in full flow"

I wouldn't say that was necessarily anything related to Rovers. They have many clients that they will deal with

What's the view on Oldham's Tom Eaves (think I saw his name mentioned earlier). Sky saying we are battling it out with other clubs for him.

Would think Sam will go for experienced striker to challenge Niko and Jase?

Maybe I'm on my own here, but I honestly couldn't give a stuff right now about signings.

I'd be happy with heskey. Would see a lot more goals from our midfield with his hold up play.

Heskey's name doesn't inspire the dread I thought it would. He can't score for toffee, but he does toil up front to bring others into play. That's something we don't have in our ranks.

ForumsAbout Samassa the Rovers striker target

Published on July 23, 2010 by Satchel · No Comments

Sources in France today suggest that Mali international Mamadou Samassa is the mystery striker Rovers have been pursuing over the past fortnight.

Parent club Olympique Marseille have put the player on the transfer list with the 6ft 2in striker not figuring in Marseille manager Dider Deschamps’ plans, his agent confirmed to footmercato.net.

Several Premier League clubs are reported to be interested in the 24-year-old, including Wigan and Stoke.

The striker played on loan with Valeniciennes last season, scoring seven goals in 17 appearances.

Being a strong, physical player who is good in the air, Samassa might well fit the caliber of attacker Allardyce is in need of, with the striker-hunt becoming ever more frustrating as the summer wears on.

The player is unwanted in Marseille and the club are willing to cash in on what Marseille claim as an ‘over-priced’ player.

Once viewed as the perfect replacement for Djibril Cisse, the striker has failed to live up to expectations, with a very low goal ratio alongside several injuries blighting his career.

Allardyce may well be willing to gamble on the Mali-born striker, with options and funds severely

What i've heard buzzing around today is that Heskey is a done deal, fee in the region of 2 million.

Should be confirmed tomorrow.

I'm willing to stake money that you are talking out of your rear end.

Congratulations on your first post demonstrating the use of grammar.

Yep, me too.

Not a goalscorer, but his hold-up play would do us a lot of favours and Nicko would be great playing off him.

Bring it on.

Well i'm only sharing what I heard, it may or may not be true but we shall see.

I personally hope it isn't but with 2.5million we can't really get anyone better.

why are people on here nasty toward me i done nothing wrong only speaking my mind is that crime :angry2:

They're not being nasty, they're just asking (in a round about way) for you to use proper spelling and punctuation or something approaching that. It makes reading your posts a lot easier.
