Tim Southampton Rover Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 It's hard to judge him when he's not playing against the players we see week in week out in the Premier League. If our scouts and staff think he's got potential then I guess we'll see what sort of impact he has in the reserves and in our first team. From those videos he doesn't look anywhere near the completed article but he's only young and has lots of time to be developed. Anyone know what sort of fee was paid for him? If it isn't a big fee then I think we'll all agree that it's a risk that's worth taking.

ChesterRover Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Stumbled upon this on the net, Blackburn are after 22-year-old Norwegian striker Nicki Billie Nielsen. http://www.joe.ie/003944/1/1/story/transfer-window-beckham-raul-van-der-vaart-and-djemba-djemba Also stumbled across this on an Austrian website, roughly translated it mentions our interest in Jelavic, along with Rangers, but any bid fell short of their 4.8 Million Euro's valuation. http://www.sportnet.at/de/rapidwien/102463225103/rangers_buhlen_um_jelavic

chaddyrovers Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Could we be after Colombian international Edixon Perea. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6280368,00.html
SergioPeter89 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Stumbled upon this on the net, Blackburn are after 22-year-old Norwegian striker Nicki Billie Nielsen. Im Norwegian, and im 100% sure that this striker isnt Norwegian Never heared about him..
budha Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Im Norwegian, and im 100% sure that this striker isnt Norwegian Never heared about him.. Danish, Norwegian.. what's the difference?
Tim Southampton Rover Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Was paid? So he has actually signed and not just in for trial? Actually I might have jumped the gun a bit then. I don't think he has signed for us yet but according to several websites, we are looking to sign him permanently. No mention of a trial.
67splitscreen Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Could we be after Colombian international Edixon Perea. http://www.skysports...6280368,00.html Work permit could be a problem, not in the current international squad and it's quite a while since he was. His last venture into Europe was hardly a success.
SergioPeter89 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I saw that $i£y are going to have a big sale. Players like Bellamy, De Jong, Ireland being sold. My question is, how is Michael Johnson doing atm? Was he injured for ages? Would love to have him in Rovers.
Billy Castell Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I'm sure the local Wetherspoons would as well if rumours are true. I agree with your point though. Weiss and a few others will never get a game. Garrido is a left back isn't he?
Joar Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Danish, Norwegian.. what's the difference? Finland, Sweden... same stuff
John Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Bookies are impressed with our signings so far: According to experts Blackburn will relegated next season.
rog of the rovers Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Bookies are impressed with our signings so far: According to experts Blackburn will relegated next season. Rovers, Wigan, Bolton and Blackpool to get relegated? Dont waste your time even reading this tosh.
Backroom Tom Posted July 26, 2010 Backroom Posted July 26, 2010 Our saving grace may be other teams aren't doing much either. We certainly need to strengthen though
The1mattjansen Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Betfair has us as about 8/9th favourite for the drop. Though they might be wrong, its probably as good an indicator as you're likely to get. 7/1 against certainly doesn't make us anywhere near favourites.
roversam Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 im not to concerned about relegation. There hasn't been much activity down the bottom of the league. I Think it will be harder this year with the exception of Blackpool i don't see there being sides as poor as Hull and Burnley in the league. There are a dozen or so clubs with little to choose between them.
John Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Besiktas said in a statement on its website that Guti would be paid 2.7 million euros ($3.5m) a year.

We certainly need to strengthen though Not directed at you TCO but this has been said a few times in the last few week or so, many must really have their heads in the sand. Wolves 5 -- Wigan 4 -- West H 3 -- WBA 3 -- S/Land 5 -- Stoke 1 -- N/Castle 2 --Bolton 2 -- Fulham 2 B/pool 0 -- Rovers 0 All teams below us last season, and still looking for more. Some may not be what we think improvements, their managers do. If some rabbits are not pulled out of the hat before the window shuts, the bookies could well be right. Sam has worked wonders in the last 20 months, he needs some backing, the writing is on the wall, It's bold and it's clear.

Hi Mack Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Quoted from the Link earlier, "Meanwhile, Rovers are said to be closing in on a deal for an unknown striker, reported to be either Olympique Marseille’s want-away striker Mamadou Samassa or Oldham’s 18-year-old forward David Eaves" Oh next seasons going to be...........Fun!

Samassa = 13 goals in 79 games according to wikipedia. Weren't we looking for a goalscorer? This guy makes Roberts look prolific .....
Billy Castell Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Samassa will create space for Niko and the midfield to score . Buy the 18 year old Eaves. He might be good, and probably won't cost much.
rog of the rovers Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Could we get relegated? Yes Could Birmingham, Fulham, West Ham, Wolves, West Brom, Blackpool, Newcastle, Stoke, Bolton, Wigan, and Sunderland be relegated? Yes
broadsword Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Samassa = 13 goals in 79 games according to wikipedia. Weren't we looking for a goalscorer? This guy makes Roberts look prolific ..... Better than Heskey I guess. Although last season was an exciting thrill-festof samba football, so I'm not sure why you're worried?
