I would admire our bravery if it was Ricky Lambert!

Really??? I would be concerned about our ambition if we sign a 28 year old from the lower leagues...

Obviously its' about $$$$ --- but I cannot fathom why anyone would want to torpedo a career by wanting in at Real Madrid or Barcelona.

Tevez has been a most likeable guy because from day one he's been seen as the 'people's footballer' or as the little brother with the runny nose.

If we ignore that he's played for some very large clubs starting when Boca plucked him from the All Boys youth set, the guy's been an underdog from day one.

He moved to Citeh for one reason and one reason only and that was the big bags of cash they offered him. I see nothing likeable in that. He turned down the chance of glory and moved for money instead.

Luca Toni? ;) Ricki Lambert and either Jo or Jelevic? Now that would be decent. Faty in as well, and Grella out and we would have done well me thinks.

I quite agree w/ you NOW. When he left Sir Alex all red in the face and took mad abu dhabi money... i was happy and fine w/ as it 's turned out to be a thorn in United's hauty side. But when you combine it with this latest episode and sprinkle Joorbacicicican 's shadowy figure--

it's all way too much to ignore--- besides the fact that the guy doesn't play a position---just a glorified bumpercar that bangs in the odd glory goal---- any Mexican readers here????? :P

Tevez has been nothing but a cheating, money grabbing little gimp since he came to England. He is guided by where the dollar is thats all.

He really has no ambition to win much in football other than taking in as much cash as possible. He is the best example ever of a footballing mercenary.

Cilla Black moment - well Lambert is scouse.

Surely he's not going to be the one we are repeatedly bidding for? Are we bidding 10k at a time??

He would be on cheap wages, so maybe could get someone more experienced and higher wages in on a free too - not sure though! Andrews won player of the division in that league!

Makes sense now - so much secrecy over the Lambert bid because we did not want the rest of the Premier League coming in for him - just hope we get him now after this wait.

Lambert in a rovers...sorry not a rovers shirt but its blue and white halves so almost...;)

Well it's blue and white, not quite halves though.

I don't think it's Lambert, it's not Sam's style.

Having said that I can't figure out who else it could be.

But it is a Rovers shirt, just not Blackburns.

I do not for one second believe we will be signing Rickie Lambert.

Mr Nixon any chance of getting our 11pmer at 10:30, some of us old folk have to go to bed?

Rickie Lambert?! Just need to get Paul Butler in now and we'll be on fire!

Don't be a fag.

Hopefully we aren't the rumoured Premier League team to be in for Chopra.

Had crossed my mind. All he now reminds me of is the Jason Bent character on that Lee Nelson show.

Meh. Chopra is Championship standard and no better.

I'll have to filter out some of the junk on here if this carries on ;)

You're used to being the butt of the jokes.
