IF Rovers do end up signing Utaka, Diouf (on loan) and Vaughan (with Roberts going) then surely that could be one of the quickest strike forces in the league.

Obviously all three would be at a risk (Utaka = potentially is crap, Diouf = Pretty untested, Vaughan = injury prone) but maybe it's a sign of what Big Sam wants to improve at Blackburn. We do have an extremely slow squad and I personally would welcome a few quick players.

I still reckon it'll be jelavic. I think we're keeping it a bit quiet about it to nip in before rangers.

None of the others seem to fit into the sam lone striker role.

If it is Jelavic, it would not be much of a mystery - his name has been mentioned for weeks.

Er have you noted the time thing on these posts on the message board 04.10pm etc

Maybe so you'll go on message boards and make unrealistic suggestions on the basis of the lies he tells you? Some people are just cruel. Tell him not to worry about losing the club shop job, its not easy to count out the right change every time!

Whydo we continually poke fun at people who make comments on here, they are trying to give the thread input, I would love this guy to be correct in that it is Keane.

We are all Rovers fans, we all have dreams and aspirations, I just ask that we respect posters and wait and see, maybe someone sometime will be left with lots of egg on faces!!

Really tho chaddy rovers? You Genuienly know someone who knows people on the board? You can understand other people having a go. The amount of times I have read "rovers have done this, my source is 100% correct" and it never happens or it's total rubbish.

Well on our budget were not going to bring in a full proven, in form, clean injury record striker. We have to take a gamble somewhere to get somebody in, either on the inexperience of Mame Diouf or the untapped 'potential' of Vaughn/Utaka.

The pathetic apology for an 11 o'clocker that will still somehow be denied or clarified by the local paper/twitter/blog/whatever.

Only news is that Rovers are trying extra-hard to ship out Roberts.

That tells me [a] they do not have a buyer for him already, things must be really bad between him and Sam and [c] there must be two strikers coming in or it's 4-6-0 against Everton.

Loads going on elsewhere.

I do like the Keane rumour - it also suggests the continued variation, that seemed to start in January for me, from the football with which Sam has been associated as Keane is not the kind of player to spearhead a long-ball team but would relish the passing play of which Dunn/Pedersen/Emerton and N'Zonzi are capable. Please let it be true

"too early to predict" on Jelavic/Jo/Vaughn/Diouf and "my sources say no" on Keane/Utaka ;)
