alexanders Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I've read a lot of articles about Nikica Jelavic. Many of them states that Rangers are expecting an answer on their last bid during wednesday. If it is Jelavic we are after and have put in another bid for him we might get our answer today as well? I guess we would also be able to match the wages he will get at Rangers. They are also mentioning that Croatian Striker Dado Prso would've been talking warmly about the scottish club, but I think we have a bigger chance with his old mate Nikola Kalinic in our squad. Many people on this, including me seem to think that it is this Nikica Jelavic we are bidding for and will eventually see coming to Ewood Park.

T4E Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I wonder if Rovers have any insurance money on Grella. I mean his car is just sat outside Brockhall most of the day. What's to stop somebody tampering with the brakes? Almost definitely through Sheila's Wheels.
otto man Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Ketchup is my preferred choice. Depends on what. But I do enjoy a nice bernaise on a medium rare steak
BPF Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I've just noticed that Grella still appears to be with us... Done deal?
Majiball Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Lancashire Telegraph have a interview with Grella, he says that he is prepared to call time on his International career so that be can do well for Rovers. If he wants to do well for Rovers he should retire from the game with injury so we can collect the insurance.
Iceman Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 to hell with all these rubbish names being talked about, we got money now... here are my new list of targets Carlos Tevez Fernando Torres Mario Ballotelli Gonzalo Higuain
whiteinpeace Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 For what its worth, and probably isn't worth very much to you coming from a Bolton fan... But I've heard you are in talks with Jo from City. Guy on twitter who is usually spot on with all things transfer related... Probably been reported elsewhere by now.

ultrablue Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Check out what Mixu is up to at Kilmarnock Something fishy going on here... This name comes up just a few days after they sign "David Silva" Next they'll be signing Pele
RevidgeBlue Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Meanwhile in the absence of any immediate takeover funding I expect we can look forward to seeing our transfer activities continue to proceed with all the urgency of an arthritic tortoise. Andy Cryer's latest installment of the 667 chapter saga about the alleged pursuit of an un-named striker in today's LT: "The LT understands the Club are hoping to make significant strides forward in their pursuit of their main un-named target today" Zzzzzzzzzz.............................
Majiball Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Well can we now start looking at real players??? Here's one or two that I'd like at Rovers. My link My link My link
Bobby G Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 LT is really saying nothing each and every day. Unsourced always, and un-named targets too and everyday with a generic update.

RevidgeBlue Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 LT is really saying nothing each and every day. Unsourced always, and un-named targets too and everyday with a generic update. Sooner or later they'll be right on the "even a stopped clock is right twice a day" type of theory. Then they will no doubt claim - "See we were right all along" and no-one will be able to prove or disprove whether they actually had the first idea who any of our targets were. At least nicko is putting actual names out there, leaving himself potentially ready to be shot at,or not as the case may be.
Hughesy Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 LT Cracks me up.....he clearly knows very little and like others say, Very rarely sticks his neck out like Nicko. I just hope we sign 2 strikers in the next 2 weeks - then il be happy until this fella gives us £300m to invest
LeChuck Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Check out what Mixu is up to at Kilmarnock Something fishy going on here... This name comes up just a few days after they sign "David Silva" Next they'll be signing Pele Kilmarnock are certainly ambitious, aren't they? Not only are they after David Silva, but this appeared on the BBC Gossip this morning: Kilmarnock have handed a trial to former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko. (Daily Record) Perhaps this is a tactic we should adopt - try and buy players who have famous namesakes.

Rev, just out of interest, didn't you once report for the LET (I could be mistaken but thought it may have been you)? How close were your ties with the club at that time? Just trying to work out how Cryer gets absolutely zero information time after time.
LeChuck Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 BBC haven't quite cottoned on its not THE Mohamed Sissoko BBC and the Daily Record it seems.
Amo Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I'm still surprised that Sam hasn't taken a look at Fernando Morientes. He's been released by Marseille has yet to find a new club. Surely worth a shot on trial?
jim mk2 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 every bloody day, its the same thing that Cryer says. For goodness sake, he is really upsetting me now Blaming the messenger for Rovers not signing anyone ? Does not compute. The LT reporter cannot invent a list of names everyday in the hope that one of them might be true, unlike some people on here. His credibility would be zero and his contacts at the club would not take him seriously. Covering a football club for a living and unearthing a news story every day can be difficult. Cryer does a good job in the circumstances.
RevidgeBlue Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Rev, just out of interest, didn't you once report for the LET (I could be mistaken but thought it may have been you)? How close were your ties with the club at that time? Just trying to work out how Cryer gets absolutely zero information time after time. I didn't work for the LT per se, I just wrote the fan's piece in there for a couple of seasons in Souness's first season back in the Prem. and the season after when we finished 6th. I have no ties with the Club but have been on the Fans Forum for a number of years. I suspect I upset John Williams on a fairly regular basis with the column at the time but would like to think we get on fairly well apart from that!

Surely worth a shot on trial? He was a relative flop for Liverpool in the same league when he was 4 years younger.
