Majiball Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 The last time I checked Grella's camp thought the deal was 'done' and would be completed. I am not calling them again as that must have been the fourth time I rang on the subject. The people involved in his team have been straight with me before. I have no reason to doubt them. Can you call them again and remind them that he's likely to pull a muscle eating his dinner and haste is of the essence if they want their commission.

otto man Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Please don't quote the massive photo! Curly watts.......You gotta love him!
The Rover of Finland Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 If Grella is still Rovers player at weekend and plays he probably stays. I doubt Sam will take a risk if the sale is close. Grella needs just few minutes to pick an injury.
philipl Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Wasn't the issue which Grella would not accept at Galatasaray a clause that put him on pay as you play if he was available for less than 70% of games? I doubt the Turks would bend on such a key point and Grella would be mad to trade in his deal at Rovers for a clause like that.
1864roverite Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Flights available from Liverpoo airport for just under £180 - go Grella GO !

I would have to say I didn't know that was one of the stumbling blocks before. It's an odd one because they took on Cana who is also something of a sicknote. All I can tell you is that his people think it will happen...and they are closer to it than anyone else. I would iamgine that Rovers are hoping that is the case because [a] they tried to shunt him earlier in the window and the manager keeps bringing in midfielders.
nicko Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Couple of snippets. VAUGHAN...in Everton squad tonight...wonder if he will be watched...likely to be on bench. ASSULIN...really taking the eye at Man City. ROBERTS...no sign of any taker just yet...

aXept Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Hm, are we linked with Camoranesi ? And: The Norwegian player "MOA"
alexanders Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 For that price Moa is well worth a shout and may have a possibility of happening. Norwegian media have reported that Gamst have been praising Moa to the Rovers scouts and Allardyce.

Yep well worth a look at him and maybe signing him for the price being talk about!!! here a youtube clip of him
Iceman Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 It wouldnt surprise me if Moa is the mystery target. If i remember correctly, Arsenal and Man United were interested at 1 point.
brian_gallagher85 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 The 3rd goals is a very nice strike, however the one thing that should be taken from that video is that defences in that league are complete ######!
philipl Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 That is one seriously left footed player- and he won't be up against Rob Green every week in the Premier League!
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 The long range goal is surely a cross? Plenty of lucky goals in there.
Lars-Erik Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Yeah, I don't believe the video really captures his qualities - which the lad has bags of. Really
SergioPeter89 Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Some more clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWYBLcdRKbY Then look at the highlights in this article: http://msn.tv2sporten.no/fotball/tippeligaen/moa-jeg-har-terpet-litt-paa-hoeyrefoten-i-det-siste-3258204.html Superb striker, that would not have any problem with the Premiership imo.
LeChuck Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I wonder if the sale of Grella would be enough to fund this fella?. He'd be fantastic for us.
alexanders Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I can also mention that the coach of Vålerenga FK where Moa plays is our former player Martin Andresen who had a short stint with the club and probably knows some staff and probably JW as well. MGP has also spent a lot of time training with Vålerenga FK when he's been in Norway. He will also help him feel at home at Rovers. Very important IMO.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 What are his key qualities? Does he have pace? What are his bad qualities? i.e. does he go missing in games, does he get caught offside a lot etc?
alexanders Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 From what I've seen; He is a real goal poacher (at the right place at the right time). He is a very good finisher as shown in the clips. Has a bag of pace and technique, but durirng last season (not so much this one) went missing in games.
Majiball Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I'd like this Syed chap to give the club the cash to re-sign Bellamy.
Jackson Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I'd like this Syed chap to give the club the cash to re-sign Bellamy. And Bentley *awaits bombardment of exagerrated accounts of drunken interviews and disloyalty*
philipl Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Congratulations majiball. You are the first poster to ask Syed to spend money on a new signing. Sam and Bellamy in the same dressing room would be explosive. Bellamy would be out of there in about 10 minutes at most. Bentley meanwhilst has another ten weeks left to overcome his latest training ground injury according to the Spuds quacks.
